23.01.2022 Some players still have season fees outstanding. Ensure your fees are paid urgently as we will not be accepting player registrations for the coming Summer 2020/21 for players with outstanding debts. https://hoopstarsbasketball.com.au/product/winter-2020-fees/
22.01.2022 Attention U13 Boys Div 3, U15 Boys Div 4 and U17 Boys Div 4. Some teams will be aware that there are no games scheduled for certain division this Friday. The reason is the SDBA QSL Div 1 Women's team successfully reached the semi-finals of the QSL season. This causes an issue of Basketball Queensland requiring the use of the Clem Jones courts to play the semi-final on Friday evening. Given that the association are already at capacity with all venues, it is impossible to real...locate all grading games for this Friday to external courts. Therefore they are forced to cancel the grading games this Friday for Under 13 Boys Division 3, Under 15 Boys Division 4 and Under 17 Boys Division 4. It is a regretful situation, but with no other available venues there is no other solution.

19.01.2022 Hi Hoopstars I am sure you are all well aware the actions of two individuals has caused to our southern suburbs. Unfortunately they have also traveled to many other suburbs including Southbank bringing their infection with them, not to mention the flight they were on. There will be further cases as a result of their actions. As President of Hoopstars I implore you to self quarantine if you have visited the locations on listed on the Qld Health website. https://www.health.qld....gov.au//public-health-alert-three-n If you have been in proximity of any contact tracing link or QLD Health identified area please DO NOT attend training and DO NOT attend games. Contact the club immediately and we will find a replacement for you. Players and parents attending games MUST check in and out on the provided apps. 18.01.2022 Hey Hoopstars. It is the last week of grading this week and that means there has been a massive amount of reworking games as teams test their metal against higher divisions. I remind you there are no competition points for grading and the season will be deleted once the official Summer 2020/21 draw is released. Your game time or location may have changed. You are hereby directed to check the game details as late as midday Friday 30/10. Do not use Gameday as it is pointless d...ue to influences out of our and Southern Districts Basketball Association control. Instead use the online game schedule, but make sure to change the Competition drop box to 2020/21 for the correct games. https://sdbal.com.au/fixtures-and-results/ Enjoy this round and be ready to hit the boards for the start of our basketball competition next week.
18.01.2022 With games starting Friday night all players intending to play must be registered ASAP. If you have transferred from another club you must ensure you transfer form has been completed and sent. Registrations: https://sdbal.com.au/junior-domestic-registration/ Club clearance form: https://sdbal.com.au//20/02/Junior-Club-Clearance-2020.pdf... Not registering, renewing registrations or completing transfer forms is the biggest cause of embarrassing court side moments. All registrations should be completed by 12pm 09/10/2020 for Friday night fixtures. Uniforms stocks have been hit hard this season and our new stock is not far away. If you have not been provided a loan jersey then please turn up in a blue singlet or shirt for game one.
17.01.2022 Just in case people have read some social media posts about a coach working at Logan and SDBA basketball associations. Both Clem Jones and SDBA have responded promptly with Health officials to determine appropriate actions. Remember: * Maintain personal hygiene and sanitisation. * Maintain social distancing.... * 1 spectator per player. * CHECK IN on the provided apps. * CHECK OUT when you leave. * Players arrive showered and ready to play 10 mins prior to game * Leave immediately after game through designated exit. * Players shower immediately after arriving home. Do what you can to protect our members. President, Hoopstars Basketball
16.01.2022 Hey Hoopstars, received information from Southern Districts about the current status on registration renewals. Due to COVID-19 Basketball Queensland has extended all BQ registrations by 4 months. SportsTG has not altered the timing of the renewal email reminders so people who usually renew in January are receiving their renewal email despite not needing to renew until May.
15.01.2022 The Strength and Conditioning component of the sessions this week is cancelled due to the low uptake in numbers. The basketball sessions are still going ahead same time and place.
15.01.2022 Sorry if it feels I am constantly on you all about the COVID restrictions and hygene, but with such a hostile and fatal virus we need to keep the little things in the forefront of our minds. With the potential for a spike in COVID case numbers we are once again reiterating the importance of following the imposed restrictions. There was a confirmed case through the doors at Sleeman Sports Complex Sunday 26th July. Due to the tracking apps we are able to trace who was in atten...deance and supply any information forwarded by Qld Health. When attending training you must check in your child and any remaining spectators into the app. You can now check into training sessions from the training schedule webpage- https://hoopstarsbasketball.com.au/train/training-schedule/. Click the title linknof your session and you should be redirected. The QR Codes still work as well. We want to limit the number of parents in the halls during training sessions. It is appreciated if you can be outside or waiting in the car. Please remind your children to wait outside the halls until the previous group has departed. If we as a club cannot follow these instructions we will have no other option but to cancel training sessions. The health of everyone is paramount in these times. Coaches, players, parents and other venue occupants are as important as one another. The least we can do is ensure we are doing what we can to limit the spread of ANY vurus. If you have any symptoms or only feeling 80% please have the night off and do not attend the training sessions or games. President, Hoopstars Basketball
13.01.2022 Hey all please take note of the latest from Qld Health contact tracing locations. If you have been to any of these during these times please isolate and get tested. https://www.health.qld.gov.au//public-health-alert-west-mo

07.01.2022 Regarding parking at Citipointe. The carpark on Wecker Road (opposite the College entrance to College Hall) is a private carpark belonging to YMC St Pauls Soccer Club. They have asked that we not park in that area as their patrons require use of it at night and during the day as well. Parents and coaches please do not park in St Pauls carpark when on the College Site. There should be room on Wecker Road and if necessary they could park in the College Reception carpark and walk down the footpath on Wecker Road to the College Hall entry. It would be appreciated if there was no access through the College Grounds .
