22.01.2022 This time last year I would spend my Sundays sorting through multiple hen party photos and videos, taken from parties we ran over the whole weekend. Parties in Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Byron Bay and even Darwin This time last year business was booming! It was in 2019 that we expanded our hens parties up the East Coast, running 4-6 parties every weekend. With our interstate cities slowly building, 2020 was looking like it was going to be our year. You ...know the rest of the story. It's the same story you've heard from so many small businesses. All of our mid-March onwards parties had to postpone. Some are finally able to start rebooking now, which is a great sign things are returning to some kind of normal and that Australians can confidently start looking forward to fun events again. Including weddings and hen parties of course but any excuse for getting people together for a good time and I'm in! That's probably why my party team and I love running hen parties so much. What more could you want on your weekend than dancing or hooping with a rad bunch of up-for-fun babes?? And our groups are ALWAYS so fun. We've been missing hen parties so much and we can't wait to start filling our calendar with 4-6-8-10 parties every weekend again. 22.01.2022 9 years ago today, on a beach in Legzira, Morocco. Back when we could travel, back when I travelled with a little point-and-shoot camera and no phone. Back when I wore black and ate way too many tagines (but who can resist??). 3 years before I started Hoops Thighs & Buttocks I remember I hitch-hiked to Legzira solo from a few hundred km's north because I like to put myself in dangerous situations. Less so now. I went hunting for a place to stay when I arrived and walked i...nto a room which had a hoop hanging on the wall, left by a previous traveller. I'd found my room. This isn't the hoop in the picture though that would make this story a little sweeter (sorry bout it). This was my travel hoop which probably came to around 10 countries with me that year. My right wrist is bandaged because I got tendonitis from over-training isolations. This is the moment I became a left hand hooper. Anyone else done the hoop hand switch?? I love the time I spent in Morroco- around one month in total, mostly seaside, moving pretty slowly. Have you been? Where in the world would you love to be right now?

20.01.2022 Good news story / tear jerker alert! This is our St Kilda intermediate class from Term 1 this year and all of last year with their hoop mama Soozyloops. Yesterday they got the band back together as soon as was legally possible. Look at those smiles! These gurls have missed each other a LOT over the past 6 months and have been hanging out for this moment and of course the moment they get to be in class together again- 5 more sleeps girls!!... How beautiful is this story- they all met in hoop class, none of them knew each other before and they've become so tight, supporting each other's hoop journey, heading to pub trivia together, recommending local ethical fashion to each other, getting angry together about all sorts of political topics and supporting each other through hard times. Inseparable for life! I love that as soon as they could all meet up with friends again, they chose to see each first Come to our hoop classes and you might just end up with 8 new BFF's! But honestly, we try to create a supportive, non-judgemental, inclusive community in our classes and I think this is proof that we might just be getting it right Our classes just always seem to attract really awesome people, amiright HT&B fam?? 15.01.2022 Our teacher Soozyloops with some of her most dedicated St Kilda students. Love all these gals! After 6 months of being separated by the lockdown and missing each other (and hooping together) immensely, they were so excited when our Melbourne group hoop courses were announced, they booked within minutes "We're getting the band back together!" Chloe... "Tuesdays are going to be my favourite time of the week!" Primrose "Fabulous!" Georgia ..... Who also cracked me up with: "I will never be the best hooper. Or the most graceful. But I will be 'the most committed to HTB classes' hooper." Yep it's true, she booked within a minute of the classes being announced. We've all had Georgia moments of not feeling graceful or like we'll ever be the best, amiright?? There's only 2 spots left in the intermediate classes in St Kilda and Fitzroy Nth. This term we have 3 mother/ teenage daughter duos in our hoop classes. They practice together at home in between classes and are discovering that hula hooping is a great binding tool. Tag a mother /daughter hoop duo you know and let's send them a WERRRRRQ!

09.01.2022 Have you ever picked up a new hobby and become instantly obsessed and dedicated hours every day to it? I did that with sewing when we first went into lockdown in March. I made so many fabric pot plant covers! I can share the pics if you really want. This is my current housemate. I took her to her first ever hoop class last night and she is HOOKED! She spent 4 hours hooping in the garden today, through the thunderstorm and all. Addicted much? ... I miss those days where hooping was my number 1 priority and I would do it aaaallll the time. But let's be honest, I clearly had a LOT more time on my hands then. I would actually love to be able to hoop for 4 hours every day! What did you get obsessed with this year when everything got cancelled? I know there was a lot more gardening, sourdough making and painting. 08.01.2022 Events are so close, I can smell the dance floor sweat already! Great news today on easing of restrictions in Victoria. We're so many step taps closer to fun times like this It's been 4 days now of dancing being permitted at outdoor events in QLD. The rest of us in the other States wish we were partying with you on a dance floor but surely we're soon to follow with dancing being allowed again This photo gives me all the feels. It's when 3 of our crew (Team Werq.It) l...ed the whole dance floor at Morning Gloryville through a high impact aerobic werqout which included a knee-lift battle, a strut-off and other hilarious group activities.
