24.01.2022 Enthusiasm is essential for success. Students have learnt that whatever the task, no matter how big or small, it will always turn out better if you put your whole heart into it! Enthusiasm is contagious! The year3/4 Recorder Band are putting this week's value into practise. They have been practising enthusiastically ready to play their assessment piece on Assembly next Monday. Well done Recorder Band, we can't wait to hear your item.

20.01.2022 This week our school value is gratitude. As students have paused to think of all the good things in their lives, they have realised how much they have to be grateful for. Gratitude is the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.

14.01.2022 This week the Middleniors will be exploring the question, how to be loyal to friends and family. If your child offers to do the dishes or sweep the floor you will know why, they want to be loyal members of their family. On Friday Middlenior students will be writing their name on strips of paper, and using words to describe ways they can be loyal members of the class. These strips of paper will be joined together to form a Loyalty Chain. The Juniors this week will be looking at 3 stories in the Bible which illustrate loyalty.; Ruth and Naomi, Noah building the ark, and the healing of the paralytic man

12.01.2022 We are closely monitoring the unfolding Covid restrictions that are happening now across Queensland. From the directive of the Queensland Premier and Chief Health Officer, anyone who has visited the Brisbane area from March 20 is required to enter a 3-day lockdown from 5pm this evening (March 29). Further to the 3-day lockdown, everyone in Queensland from 5pm this evening are encouraged to wear masks where you cannot be socially distant or while using public transport. Please... do not come into Hope during the next 3 days if you have been to Brisbane area during this time. Please let us know if your child will not be attending school for this reason. Due to these restrictions, parents are asked to remain outside the school gates including during drop off and pick up. We understand the frustration and inconvenience this may cause, and we thank you for your support in keeping Hope staff, students and greater community safe. We will continue to provide updates as they unfold. Thank you for your understanding during this time.

09.01.2022 WOW Day 4. No, no, no Mr Marvin!!!! Don’t cut that! If your plant is going to bear fruit it needs to stay attached to the plant. Pr Tim shared with students that just as branches can only bear fruit if they abide in the vine, we too need to abide in Jesus if we are to grow and bear good fruit.

Hope students learnt of a school in Papua New Guinea, the Kivori Learning Centre, which started as a 'bush school' for 50 illiterate children and has quickly grown to educate 300 students. Students packed boxes with Coral Coast Christian School uniforms which will be shipped to Kivori Learning Centre. Next term Hope students will raise money to purchase sports equipment for the Kivori school. Spreading kindness is contagious. Let us all look for ways to be kind!
