It just so happens that this was the case for our very first game. So HV Blue player HV White with the win going to HV Blue. 20.01.2022 "From The Coaches" Coaching is still continuing. However we need to alter what we can and cant do again. We can only have 1 student at a time on the tennis court with the coach. We ask all kids to make sure they wash their hands prior to commencing (which will be done at the tennis club). ... The coaches will have all gates open so you dont need to open and close the gates. We will be implementing the social distancing policy which we feel tennis is a sport where we can manage this (we are the lucky sport in this regard). There will be no serves but we can do volleys and groundstrokes (only the tennis coach will be touching the balls). Any parents or friends or family members please stay outside the fences of the tennis courts to make sure we only have 2 people on the court at all times. If there is a prior lesson please wait outside the fences until the student beforehand has left the courts. Social hitting is encouraged if you are from the same household. If youre not from the same household, there can only be two of you on court and please make sure only one person brings the balls and only that person touches the balls. If anything changes we will let you know. Look forward to seeing you at the courts, Josh and Janine

19.01.2022 Last weekend marked the end of Winter junior tennis for 2020. Our teams did well and there was plenty of robust competition. Id like to shout out to all the players, parents and team managers whose flexibility and dedication to the club, helped make this season possible. With so few available players this winter, your willingness to make last minute changes to ensure our teams could play each week, was paramount to our success. Our final winter results are as follows: HVYB ...White vs Para Hills = win: 6//36 to 0/22 - 4th place HVYB Blue vs Greenacres = win: 4/32 to 2/21 - 5th place HVGB vs Valley View = loss: 2/21 to 4/29 - 5th place Summer season starts shortly so jump online quickly and register to play. Theres not much time left before registrations close AND we have extended early bird payments until 18th September. The more players we have the more balanced the teams. Looking forward to seeing you again this summer. Go Hope Valley
18.01.2022 For those still unaware, obviously the last two weeks of this summer season have been cancelled. I want to thank all the players , senior and junior, who played this season and I understand players disappointment with being unable to compete for a premiership. At this stage, Tennis SA has advised that Senior Winter Pennant will be suspended until further notice, however, team nominations are still required to be submitted by April 5 in case of a revised competition commenc...ing at a later date. Please advise the senior coordinator as per usual or private message here if you are interested. NETA are likely to confirm today that Juniors will not be playing Term 2. There may be opportunity for an 8 week revised competition in Term 3, again, to be advised at a later date. Mid week ladies competition has been suspended until the end of April at this stage. **The junior presentation BBQ which was planned for next Sunday will unfortunately be cancelled. It will come back bigger and better when we can get everyone together again to celebrate the achievements of the last year!! If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us. Below is a beautiful message with some thoughts from Novak Djokovic. On behalf of the club I hope everyone stays at peace, fit and healthy ready for when things return to usual.

17.01.2022 Hi all, Our second round of tennis has been played and we had beautiful weather. Here are the results: HV BY Blue won against Greenacres - 4/28 to 2/15 HV BY White lost to TTG - 3/19 to 3/26 ... HV BG won against Valley View 4/29/to 2/23 Well done. Each week I will post a rule or reminder for you (to refresh all our memories). This weeks reminder is: Please stay and support the team until everyone has finished their matches, even if your child has finished. This is such a morale booster, especially at small venues such as ours. If you have another sporting commitment elsewhere and need to go, we understand, but otherwise please stay until the end. Next weeks games are: HV Blue - away against TTG HV White - home against Valley View HV Greenball - away against Broadview Good luck all. Kind regards, Georgina

07.01.2022 WOW. Rafa is a beast on the clay. That score line just isn't meant to happen against a champion like Djokevic. I know Julie Crebbin stayed up to watch it all. Did anyone else? I've recorded it to watch later.

06.01.2022 I just want to share with everyone a photo of myself and my students from the Modbury Special School. It was truly an amazing experience to see kids who have special needs enjoy tennis and their willingness to learn the sport to the best of their abilities. The improvement I saw was incredible because of the hard work and dedication they put into it. Tennis isn't meant to be an easy sport but with hard work and dedication "anything is possible". Josh
