08.01.2022 Well, despite the torrential downpour there was an impressive turnout for last nights first Helensburgh Mens Shed meeting (although I cant see anyone in the photo wearing their tool-belt!) Some great ideas came out of the discussion, with many people interested in metal and wood working, and a suggestion to hold quieter activities in the evening, such as photography and graphic design. More than half of those present last night became Helensburgh Mens Shed members - its getting real now! The next meeting will be a BBQ breakfast on site at the Shed, awesome! Stay tuned for more details. And if you didnt make it last night and would like further information, contact Lionel Rattenbury via FB or at: [email protected]

06.01.2022 Today is the last day of Hope Community Pantry for the term so come along and stock up for the school holidays! Hope Community is a drop-in-service offering a light lunch and a cuppa in a warm, friendly environment. Members pay a small fee (between $5 and $9) to access a range of supermarket items that supplement their weekly grocery shop, as well as free staples such as bread, fruit and vegetables. For some, all it takes is a few weekly visits to give them a reprieve in the ...cost of their groceries, in order to get back-on-track with their finances. For others, the pantry is a regular source of hope that allows them to save money on their regular grocery shop and allocate that to other essential family requirements. Whatever your situation, if you are experiencing financial difficulty, you are welcome at Hope Community Pantry. We provide one-off, short-term or long-term support and assistance to suit each familys individual needs. See more

Please, if you or your family are struggling, come up and use this awesome community resource. Our service is completely confidential and we would love to support you for as long or as little as you need. 12-2pm at Hope 2508: 3/23 cemetery road, Helensburgh.
