13.01.2022 Back at church today and determined to worship God with all that we have even though we could not sing. I thought that I would share the feedback that I have received to encourage people that God can and does move in a service even though we cannot sing: 1. One person said that God had spoken to Him to during worship to repent and to search out the scriptures around repentance. He was visibly moved by the love of God.... 2. A person who attended our church for the first time found her self weeping during the service and committed her life to God. 3. I received this text "I for one have been spiritually refreshed! I was so happy to see church brothers and sisters in the faith! A very timely reminder to us as Christians. Our new normal for some is not easy but for us we have to draw closer to the Lord in prayer and worship. 4. I received this text - "I just wanted to thank you for the service today. It was wonderful to be back and I really enjoyed the new format. Worship flowed into the sermon. The sermon became part of the worship and then flowed back into worship- it was excellent. I was really blessed by the whole experience". 5. I received this text - Triple Whammy today. Great to see everyone, great worship, great sermon. Today's service was very powerful and the presence of God was very tangible. Join with me in praying that this continues to increase as we seek God and come back to the heart of worship. Where it is not about the words but about the offering that we make to God. Cannot wait for next week

07.01.2022 With the recent closure of our community youth centre at a time when youth suicide and self-harm are common, we are excited to be opening Hope Youth Centre; a free youth drop-in centre opening on school afternoons, providing a safe place for young people to hang out. Youth suicide and drug abuse are common: Suicide is the leading cause of death for youth aged 12-18 25% of 18-19 year olds have used illicit drugs in the past 12 months ... Research shows that family and community support (connectedness) positively impacts youth mental health and is protective against suicide, drug abuse and self-harm. Hope Youth Centre will open in 2021 and have basketball, a skate-ramp, snooker, air-hockey, a coffee machine, music equipment and other activities and will be supervised by trained youth workers.
