23.01.2022 I just want to share abit of insight into what rescues go though. I just received this email cause I couldn't help this lady trap some cats that are on her property. She expects me to message other rescues on her behalf. I simply don't have time right now to do it and she wants them gone ASAP ... This week I am working 5x 12 hour nights I have 2 days off in-between my next 3 nightshifts. Im am sorry if I can't help if we can help we will do our best but right now I simply can't. I am working to help pay bills for the rescue. Messages like this make me just want to give up I have put my heart and soul into the rescue for over 5 years and to be spoken to like this just breaks me.

21.01.2022 Today froggy had her 2nd vaccination. The vet and nurses are very very happy with her progress. She is now 7.8kgs. Where has our little baby gone

20.01.2022 Today this little boy was surrendered He was found on a farm possibly dumped He is such a friendly little boy and knows how to use the litter tray ... He is good with dogs and cats. Name to follow in the next few days.

20.01.2022 I would like to thank everyone who has applied to adopt one of the gorgeous Maltese x Lab x Kelpie puppies. We have been quite overwhelmed with the response they received. We had over 50 inboxes, emails, calls and texts ... We could only choose 4 homes which I leave upto our foster carers since they do all the hard work and know the puppies better. We have contacted everyone who has been successful, if for some reason the meet and greets don't work out we will then go back though our list for another amazing home. We had soo many wonderful homes and it was very very hard to choose just 4 ( i think i have got a few gray hairs now ) Please dont give up your search for your next family member

19.01.2022 Froggy update This morning froggy was given the go ahead to finally have her 1st vaccination Dr sharon was very pleased with how she is looking since last time she seen frog. ... Its been 3 weeks since I picked this girl up weighting in at 2.6kgs at 8 weeks old, today froggy now weighs 5.4kgs thats with her stomach going down aswell as her abscess gone Thank you to everyone who has helped with froggys vet bills and all the well wishes

These 2 are part of our APY Lands litter so breeds are unknown They're both super energetic, love playing with each other and other dogs. They need a family with a big backyard and active lifestyle, preferably with other animals for the pups to play with and keep them company. They LOVE to be inside to sleep at night, they are always still fast asleep when the foster carer wakes up. Ringo & Raymond both have learnt: How to sit, wait, bed and walk on a lead. Around people and new animals they can be shy but once they warm upto new people and animals they will not leave you alone. Ringo is the the more adventurous one, he has seen the horses and was fine. 16.01.2022 Dizzy, Nugget and Cookie are still available for adoption. Dizzy would be best suited to a home with no dogs or cats unless you are willing to give her time to adapt. Cookie is scared of dogs but being young and given time we think she will blossom.... Nugget was adopted but then returned due to their cat not accepting him. Adoption fees are $200 each which includes Desexing, 1st Vaccination, Microchip, Flea and Worm treatment All are located in Salisbury

I’m a real cuddly boy who loves playing with my foster brothers and sisters, I even like the cat but he thinks I’m too friendly and in his face pfft. Oh did I mention I have also learnt to sit and wait for the door to be opened in the morning to go to the toilet. I currently live on acreage with lots of room to run and play so I haven’t had much experience w...ith leads and walking on them but I am sure I’ll pick it up super quick with positive reinforcement. 14.01.2022 $200 donated so far APY LANDS FAMILY UPDATE To say these pups have been challenging is quite an understatement. ... The day they came into care they were vaccinated, wormed and had a full health check. The little one had her cast changed as the one that she had on was too big for her. It took 2 nurses to be able to get this cast off After coming back from the vet this little girl started vomiting and having diarrhoea, thankfully she came better the next day and we believe it may have been stress from the cast and taking it off. Mumma dog also went in for a health check and the vets were shocked by the condition of her teeth. She needs major dental work and alot if teeth taken out, she also has 2 lumps that need to be xrayd and taken off. We have been estimated between $965-1100 for all this. Unfortunately they can't email the quote with the correct pricing due to our discounts not showing. This morning foster carer Nicole inboxed me and said one of the pups is pooing 1cm pieces of plastic and he also has diarrhoea. He is booked into the vet at 5.20 this afternoon and might possibly need xrays. We need your help more them ever right now. If we can't pay these bills we will have to close our doors which i dont want to do We rely solely on the public for help and I dont often ask for help. 10.01.2022 We often get asked ' why wasn't i chosen to adopt ' Its a simple answer. Every animal is different they all have different needs and personalities. Its not that you aren't suitable to adopt just that animal wasnt for you. ... We always make sure we match the animal to the adopter, we can't change what the animal likes and needs to suit the adopter. For example some animals are better suited with children, some better suited with other dogs etc etc. We get alot of applications for each animal we do put up for adoption, it is very hard to choose just one home as each and everyone who applies could potentially be amazing homes. Please don't give up on finding a rescue animal if you haven't been successful here, there are heaps of rescues that could potentially have your new furry family member in care. There is a rescued fur baby out there for everyone

08.01.2022 We have some new babies coming into care tomorrow. This bundle came down from the APY Lands thanks to James. Breeds of mum and pups is unknown. Mum is estimated around 7 years old and has a few battle scars as you can see but we have been told she is amazing with other dogs and is a very sweet girl. ... The puppies are about 12 weeks old Unfortunately one of the puppies won't be available for adoption for abit due to a broken leg/foot which our vet will be doing bandage changed regularly. Sadly James has paid for all this treatment himself and we would love to either pay that back or pay some towards it. He has paid over $900, if anyone would like to help us repay James for his heart of gold it is greatly appreciated. 08.01.2022 No more applications please Hi I’m Cheeto, I’m a really cute, energetic and loving puppy please remember I won't stay little. I’m only 11 weeks old and I'm a maltese x lab x kelpie, so I still need training and I'm eager to please and have mastered sit and leave, I have also almost mastered stay and back. I love to chew on treats and play/eat toys as they are so yummy! I love going for my walks at the wetlands and easily do the 5km walk. So I need someone willing to walk me ...everyday. I can sometimes be a little shy at a new place but after about 5 minutes I become very confident and will go explore without you. I would thrive in a house with kids and babies, I LOVE kids, they are so cute! I am also good with cats and bunnies as my foster family have both and the rabbit even enjoys playing with me. I also get along with other dogs once I have barked at them and realised they ain't going to hurt me. Although I like being outside in the backyard with my owner, I am very much an inside dog and love being around people all the time if I could. I get very sad when I’m left by myself and tend to howl and cry, so a home where someone is around a lot would suit me best. 04.01.2022 Update: unfortunately 1 of the little kittens passed away last night at 11.40pm This afternoon I rushed over to Riverton to take 3 tiny little kittens. No mum was around and these kittens needed help ASAP They all have cat flu and are hoping they pull though. ... Without donations we are unable to save animals like these 3. They absolutely love having her and so does their fur family. ... Froggy has learnt a few commands lately aswel like sit, stay, kiss and gentle. Froggy still isn't available for adoption just yet. We still need to wait til we can get an appointment with a specialist about her possible liver shunt.
