22.01.2022 Spring is one of our favourite times of the yearall kinds of different flowers are emerging and providing food for our bees... In each colony, every bee has a distinct role and purpose. Scout bees discover new flowers, sometimes travelling between 1-6km from the hive! The new source of nectar and pollen is shared with the rest of the colony and the worker bees get busy gathering and storing honey to feed the hive. #treesneedbees #treetobee #apiculture ... Not only are they my all time favourite flower, but their pollen also has important medicinal properties for our beesimproving the health of these pollinators, whilst reducing disease for the colony! ~ This particular field is currently feeding our bees. Our bees have been busy in a location filled with Grey Ironbark!!! AND have made the most beautifully sweet seasonal honey. ... Grey Ironbark honey is known for its visually lighter colour, and delicate fresh taste...
