22.01.2022 Discussions about the commemoration of the International Day for Street Children were very successful and our social worker Frankie was there to help with the planning. The goal for the day is to collaborate and promote the need for children in street situations to be able to have access to the same basic medical services, identification and education as other children in Uganda. We will be partnering with NGO’s who are part of the Street children working group in Kampala. We will be engaging with street children on the 12th of April (International day for street children) with an art activity to help them express what they need and what can be changed for them. We hope that this event will help promote children’s rights within the local community and give the children a chance to make their voices heard.

12.01.2022 International Day for Street Children, on April 12th, is a worldwide campaign to help raise awareness for the rights of children in street situations. All children deserve access to essential services. To get an education, healthcare and be protected from harm, no matter where they call home. Services that street children are entitled to, but are routinely denied - even more so during the pandemic. We demand that governments and communities take action so that street children can access the services they need to reach their full potential. Join us as we celebrate International Day for Street Children and stand together to make #AccessforStreetChildren a reality. #AccessforStreetChildren #streetchildrenday #SchoolsNotStreets #NationalIDforstreetchildren #endchildtraffickingworldwide

06.01.2022 It is such a relief to see some of our kids able to go back to school last week! We provided them with new uniforms, books and everything they needed to start the new term. The rest of the children will be returning at the end of March.. finally!

01.01.2022 School supplies continue to be distributed this week, along with school fees being paid. We are so happy to see our kids finally returning to school after a very long lockdown! The remaining younger children will be allowed to return in August.
