24.01.2022 Where does fresh food come from? Children love nature. In our children's garden the children experience caring for their herbs. Engaging in activities that teach the science of plants, animals, weather, the environment, nutrition and simple construction, the children learn to co-operate in shared play and team work. But most of all they love to eat their very own herbs that they have planted :)

10.01.2022 Dear families, Today, the 21st September 2016, the United Nations hosts its annual International Day of Peace. Montessori schools from all over the globe joined together for a special Sing Peace Around the World Celebration. The song Light a Candle for Peace began on the shores of New Zealand and continues to travel from country to country, and time zone to time zone until it reaches the Hawaiian Islands 24 hours later. For 24 hours the voices of the children will sing for p...eace in our governments, peace in our neighbourhoods, peace in our homes and peace in our hearts. For one day, we will sing one song, and for one moment, all of us who want and love peace.. will be one. We at Hope Island Montessori are privileged to have joined with fellow Montessori schools from across the world including 65 different countries. At 10am today we sang together Light a Candle for Peace, as our world needs peace more than ever! It was wonderful to be a part of creating peace in our Childrens House. Thank you to all of our children for singing so beautifully today.

09.01.2022 Presenting "Leaves En Brochette", our mud kitchen creation this week! Mud play offers enormous benefits to children from creativity, science lessons and fine motor development to building immunity, practicing good hygiene and sharing. Mud play is therapeutic and most of all, a lot of fun!
