19.01.2022 We found this little fella wondering around the vineyard alone. After unsuccessfully searching for his nest, we found an abandoned nest for him to snuggle in. He is now part of our rescued animal family

13.01.2022 Hope’s latest rescue - a juvenile Currawong. He was found being attacked by magpies. His eye is damaged, so we are applying cream twice a day. He has taken his ...first meal quite well. He needs lots of prayers and healing blessings that his eye heals and he can be released back to mama. Stay tuned . We are licensed through Wildlife Rescue South Coast. #currawong #australianpredators #australianbirds #australianbirdsofinstagram #wildlife #wildliferescue #animalsanctuary #holidayhomes #destinationsouthernhighlands #accommodationsouthernhighlands #southernhighlandsaccommodation See more

08.01.2022 One of the best moments in being a wildlife carer is reuniting a baby with it's parents . This beautiful magpie fledgling was found in the middle of the road... by a concerned resident who took the baby out of danger and off the side of the road and called wildlife rescue south coast. Advice was to move the bird out of harm's way further into the paddock from the road and observe for the parents. The caller returned two hours later at dusk with still no parents seen and bird observed to be cold and hungry. The baby bird was brought to us and kept overnight where we returned to the exact location the next day and waited. After an hour mum returned and swooped us a few times and half an hour later dad returned. Both continued to leave and come back over the next hour. We have attached pictures of notes on when to bring a baby bird into care and when to leave it/observe /move out of harm's way. Hope this helps in the future. The most important being exact location. We were delighted this young one was reunited with mum and dad #bundanoon #southernhighlands #wildliferescue #babybird @ Bundanoon, New South Wales
