24.01.2022 We had another great meeting and turnout today (all wearing masks) but the wind was cold. We are not holding any meetings until further notice because of the covid thing. Members and others are welcome to go to the garden and do some watering.

18.01.2022 We had a mini Melbourne cup theme today at our monthly meeting, Una and Beth organised the show including the horses and a lucky door prize and mystery prize. Well done ladies

18.01.2022 We had another great turnout at the first meeting of the year with 12 members including new member Steve. Bronte and Nick from RNH were also in attendance to discuss the next food tasting event on the 4th of February at 1.30. As always anyone can attend our meeting days as well as the food tasting event. Weather permitting the event will be at the garden but will be held at the Hopetoun hospital. A note will be placed on the front gate if there is a change. Our meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 1.30 so come along and enjoy a cuppa and a biscuit or two for the cost of a gold coin. You don't have to be a gardener as many of our members are not.

17.01.2022 The trees at the community garden are looking great, we have one more tree to plant, a plum to keep our other one company.

14.01.2022 The next meeting is on the 8th of January which is one week later due to new year's day.

13.01.2022 Thank you to Katrina and Kiani from RNH Warracknabeal for the healthy soup tasting on Wednesday. It was very nice and we had 9 people in attendance. There were also some RNH staff that also dropped in for a taste test.

11.01.2022 We had a big group at the garden yesterday for the hands on food tasting with 22 people including Bronte and Nick the organisers in attendance. It was a salad tasting event and attendees helped to cut up the ingredients. By all accounts it was thumbs up for the salads and Bronte and Green thumb Nick for their efforts. We had our usual meeting afterwards so in all it was a very good afternoon. The weather was also favourable as well.

11.01.2022 Another well attended meeting/working bee today. The weeds are making their presence felt after the small amount of rain we have experienced recently. Since the last report which I am embarrassed to say was about 3 months we have planted another 4 fruit trees. After all of the hard work today we needed a rest and some of the slices and a cuppa.

08.01.2022 Well it looks like we will be able to have the next meeting of the community garden on the 6th of October. Same time same place

08.01.2022 We had another good group at the garden meeting today. There is not usually a lot to discuss but we managed to talk plenty and enjoy a cuppa and a biscuit. The next meeting is on the first Tuesday in May. at 1.30.

06.01.2022 I have had to put up a sign at the garden because there have been instances where people have been taking produce when it has not been ready. I guess it was not clear to some who thought taking without giving was the done thing. Members put in time, effort and money into the garden so please respect that. I am aware as to who has been involved in taking produce and I hope it does not continue.

06.01.2022 Thank you Ilana and your team for the very nice soup selection today.

05.01.2022 We had another good meeting today with 15 members attending. There were some delicious home made cakes. The garden was given a gift of a butterfly windmill by Una Splatt which was installed on the top of the tower.

05.01.2022 We had another good meeting on Tuesday, although it was blowing a gale. There was some Christmas cheer with Bon Bons, some decorations thanks to Una, Beth, Janiey and some Christmas cookies from Tinaker. We also had a visit from Bronte from RNH to talk about any thing that RNH can do for the community garden. We said just bring us food .

04.01.2022 Due to the current virus situation we are not able to have the community garden monthly meeting until further notice.

03.01.2022 We had another good group at the garden meeting today with eleven people in attendance. You don't need to be a gardener to join us and have a cuppa.

02.01.2022 Well that looks much better. The weeds were out of hand so they got a trim. Thanks again to Graeme for his help. I won't show a picture of before.

01.01.2022 We had a good group again today with 13 in attendance. Our meetings are more of an informal gathering for a chat, coffee and biscuit (and we even talk about garden stuff)
