25.01.2022 Good Afternoon HWR Family, Due to Covid19 restrictions we have had to formly close the Weekly Monday Night Homeless Feed at Cotton Tree Park (Just off 2nd Ave) . We will be operating a take away service (abiding to covid19 laws) for those front line homeless and struggling in the same spot but sadly the dinning in and community aspect has been put on hold till the situation improves. CHRISTMAS DAY- needing three delivery teams to deliver our packages to homes around LOGAN. Between 6am til 12pm. ... However the HWR Team is a little to excited so we are giving you a sneak peak of what is coming your way in Logan this Christmas Eve. We will be launching our first annual Christmas Eve Dinner on Tues 24/12/19 6-7pm at Ewing Park Woodridge. We will be doing an awesome Christmas Dinner (Turkey/Vegies/Plum Pudding) and there will be Santa and Goodies for kids. All who are struggling this Christmas are welcome... Please spread the word... Hope Within Reach does not condone, stand for or tolerate the actions of recent posts that were put up on Social Media by one of our volunteers on the Sunshine Coast. These posts included imagery of individuals in vulnerable situations and they have not only jeopardised these individuals but also Hope Within Reach an...d other associated organisations. Due to this occuring, we have had to take immediate action and this volunteer is no longer associated with Hope Within Reach in any form. We apologise for any unforseen stress this has caused anyone and will be more vigilant in the future when considering volunteers who show similar attributes. 10.01.2022 As we all know Covid19 has been truly the spanner in the works for all our lives; and although we are unable to do Winter Warmth in its usual capacity Hope Within Reach has started a new service called Hope Express. Abiding with Covid19 laws we are going to deliver specific goods for men and women sleeping on the streets this winter in the Brisbane and Sunshine Coast region. We are going to deliver and equip people sleeping on the streets that are doing it rough in these cold...er months, when not as much is avaliable due to restrictions. Next week we will be releasing a list of goods we are looking for and if you can donate please email or contact Jacqui Jacob on 0450 614 117 and [email protected]. 08.01.2022 Hey Everyone, With quite a bit of sadness we have to announce that Winter Warmth 2020 will not being going ahead this year. I'm sure it is no surprise why but with Covid19 restrictions it just makes it too risky for our guests and volunteers. Bri, Jackie and I are very dissapointed we aren't able to run this service...first time we haven't done it in nearly a decade. We are hoping everything will go back to normal soon so we can get planning for an epic Christmas. I do apolog...ise to all our clients and amazing people that support us. But this year that's going to change we will be launching our First Annual Christmas Eve Dinner in Ewing Park in Woodridge Logan on Tuesday 24/12/19 at 6pm. There will heaps of food including Turkey, Veggies, Deserts and Santa for the kids. Please spread the word and see you all there!!!

07.01.2022 Hi everyone! Would just like to say WOW! After just 1 day we are already over the $1,000 mark! Thanks so much for all your donations! Although this is amazing, we are still a long way off our financial target for the campaign total which is $5,000 with our projected cost to us for the entire event at around $25,000 in total! If everyone who liked and shared this post donated just $5 each, we would be well on the way to hitting our target by now! A small amount from a lot o...f people will be the difference in the success of this campaign. Can everyone please share the link via your social pages but also via a personal message, to your friends and family, and simply suggest that instead of buying a coffee today or eating out for lunch OR breakfast, instead click on the link and donate that amount towards the campaign and be the difference to the 200+ families we will be bringing christmas too come christmas morning. Think about the price of a coffee almost $6-7 in most places these days, or even a bowl of muesli at the local cafe $12-13 each, a small personal sacrifice will impact someone with nothing on christmas with so much gratitude. 05.01.2022 With much discussion and careful consideration we are thrilled to announce Christmas To Your Door will be returning for 2020! We are thrilled to visiting families in their world Christmas Morning all through South East Queensland. Some things have had to change to adapt to that lovely virus that decided to visits us this year but some new safety elements will still allow us to visit families in their world and make a huge impact. We also will be lunching a brand Christmas Eve initiative since our Annual Dinners and in Mdore and Logan are just not possible in 2020. We will be announcing this shortly!!! On Christmas Eve (Tues 24/12/19 6pm) HWR will be a hosting an amazing Christmas Eve dinner with turkey, veggies, amazing cakes and so much more. Join us for a feast for the senses, a smorgasbord of International Street Food Vendors and amazing LIVE entertainment! ... This is a family friendly event and there will be an activities area for the kids including face painting and a jumping castle. Sample some of the Sunny Coast’s FINEST cuisine from the BEST local food trucks, enjoy live entertainment from some of our amazing home grown local talent. There is a HUGE lineup of prizes up for grabs from our community raffle and best of all, all proceeds raised goes directly to our struggling families and community members right here on the Sunshine Coast this Christmas.
