06.01.2022 2018 Clermont Sale Bulls We are offering 45 Charolais bulls on the 27th of July. 11 polled, 6 of which are red factors polled and an additional 5 red factor horned bulls. The bulls have all been semen tested by Ced Wise and scanned for EMA, IMF and P8 fat. We are very excited about the bulls we have on offer this year. We have had a tough year with the drought but the bulls have done exceptionally well. It just goes to show our breeding philosophies are working. We are breedi...ng cattle that are good doing types with exceptional feed efficiency. We always aim to breed clean coated cattle that can lay fat covers quickly with big EMA's and IMF's. We are breeding cattle that can walk and handle a range of environments. Late last year we have moved our whole operation to "Mundagai" at Moonie. On the 23rd of February 2018 we lost Dad, he passed away at age 62. Michael and Susan started the stud in 1995 and we have continued to build the stud up over the past 23 years. This year we will join 250 stud cows. We are very proud of our cattle and we will continue to build our business. We are focused on our commercial clientele and are achieving breeding an article that is ticking all the boxes. We also run around 600 backgrounders. We practice what we preach, by only buying Charolais infused weaners. Their weight gains and feed efficiency outperform all other cattle for us. We are targeting the feeder market with these cattle. 03.01.2022 On Friday night the 23rd of February 2018, Michael Hopgood the founder of Hopgood Charolais was taken to the big green pasture in the sky. His funeral will be held at St Mary's Catholic Church in Warwick at 11.00am on Friday the 2nd of March. Everyone is welcome to come to the church and to the cemetery. He will be greatly missed by us all. His legacy will live on and continue to grow as he would of wanted it to. A salt of the earth man and a true gentleman with a heart of gold. Rest in peace xx

03.01.2022 Hopgood Charolais Bull Sale Clermont Friday 26th July 2019 Lot 4 - Hopgood Notify is a stud sire in the making. This bull just has it all, he has the ideal skin type and red factor to boot! He is polled, standing on great bone, he just oozes softness and has power. Notify has a big square hip with great strength of spine, he carries flesh right to his hock. He is smooth through the front end with great testicle development. Notify’s growth and carcass figures are spot on. It has been a very tough decision to sell this bull.
