19.01.2022 When we started Hopper Kadé back in 2015 we never imagined we would have had the adventure that we have had with you all. We are so grateful for the beautiful faces that have fronted our hopper stalls, and later our restaurants in both Surry Hills and also Darling Harbour. It has truly been the highlight for us. Due to COVID we are pausing to consider our options for the future. We have closed our location in Darling Harbour. Instead we are bringing you a new experience - on...line in early 2021. 09.01.2022 Dear Hopper Kad community, As we all begin to acclimatise to a new normal we want to reassure you that as the Founders of Hopper Kad we are keeping in mind the safety and health of our Hopper Kad community including our own team. We have always had strict hygiene practices and cleanliness standards in our kitchens. As a result of the public health issue we are all facing, we have implemented additional precautionary measures, effective immediately.... Bookings will not be available at Hopper Kad for the foreseeable future. We will continue to operate for now doing food deliveries and pickups from our kitchen. Dine in will be at customers own discretion. Partner platforms you can continue to enjoy our clean and fresh Sri Lankan inspired food are - @deliveroo, @doordash, @ubereats. Food can be picked up through our partners @ritual and @liven. Effective immediately, we will no longer take cash payments only card transactions. No self-service water and cutlery 2 step hospital grade sanitisation process done on an hourly basis of the kitchen, dining area and all surfaces. All our team members have been re-trained on strict hygiene procedures in line with the NSW Department of Health regarding health and safety. We will pause our cooking school for a period of time with the exception of Saturday March 28 due to the number already booked in. We do have only 4 spots left for this class and will cap the class at 10 pax. This will be the last class until further notice. Hopper Kad has decided to leverage our wholesale buying power for the benefit of the community. We will now stock basics for retail purchasing such as rice, lentils and pulses and roti bread effective of Friday 20 March. All purchases can be pre-ordered by calling 0291882321 or purchased in-store and will be available as pick up only. As things change we will continue to update our community. In the meantime, remember to be kind to each other- we are all in this together, be grateful (gratitude increases immunity) and remember that irrational fear is the single most contagious thing in our community right now.
