19.01.2022 3s and 4s called off due to weather. The 2s will def be on at Hogans Rd with the wicket hard as a rock. The 1s, 5s and 6s are all report to grounds. Hopefully they are all able to get on. 19.01.2022 JUNIOR FINALS The club had 6 teams qualify for junior finals this season. In our relationship with Sanctuary Lakes with our women’s program, both of our combined Under 16 teams played off in Semi Finals last night. Mixed result with one team winning through to the GF next week while the other bowed out. ... With a mix of players from HCCC and other clubs within the region (and a couple of sons of club legends), we are excited about how this group will go in the tournament.... 05.01.2022 JUNIOR PRESENTATION 19/20 & END OF YEAR CELEBRATION With the junior season almost at a close (and the further easing of restrictions) the club is going to hold its junior presentation for last season and a celebration for this year. The event will take place on Wednesday 31st of March at 6:30PM in the club rooms at Hogans Road Reserve. We will supply some food for the kids (if you have any dietary requirements please email [email protected]).... We invite all junior players from this season and all junior award winners from last year to join us on the night. The presentation for the 2020/21 awards will be held in May with a date to be announced as soon as possible. We would like to thank everyone for their understanding and support during what was an incredibly difficult year for all of us. Here is to 2021 and beyond!

04.01.2022 JG CRAIG - Expressions of Interest HCCC is inviting interested participants who wish to trial for our JG Craig Shield for this coming season. The JG Craig Shield is an Under 15 Competition played on turf through early January. It presents a fantastic opportunity to get into the pathway program and get some game time on turf!... This season the team will have Co-coaches, with Dennis Stuart and last seasons coach Nathan Caufield combining to lead the team. First things first, Congratulations to Brenton ‘Punter’ Ray on 200 games for HCCC as a scorer, Punters enthusiasm and passion for the game is always appreciated. As is his help around training, provide road works warnings to help with match day planning and general volunteering around the club. Well Done Punter! Here’s to the next 200! Former HCCC Club Champion Andrew Caleca played his 200th senior game for the club. ‘Stick’ as he’s affecti...onately named, is the clubs 3rd highest wicket taker amongst active players and 12th overall. He has career best figures of 7/25 and a hattrick to his name (plus one for Altona, but we don’t talk about that). Including junior cricket and football he’s probably played over 1,000 games for Hoppers Crossing. * Congratulations Andrew. Congratulations also to Steve Barlow and Jake Farley who both played their 100th games the week before (before Travis showed me the spread sheet that tracks that sort of thing). *Not a real stat. We also have something new this week: Senior and Junior players and teams of the weeks. 03.01.2022 Tomorrow the club is hosting the barbecue at Bunnings Hoppers Crossing between 9am to 4pm. The weather has been kind to us, so head on down, get some supplies and grab a few snags on the way out! All proceeds go to the club. It’s a major fundraiser for us so please come and support it!
