25.01.2022 An update on Christmas Trees from our friends at Wyndham Vale Fire Brigade.

24.01.2022 FIRE CALL | 29 OCTOBER 2020 | STRUCTURE FIRE Hoppers Crossing Fire Brigade was paged to assist at a 2nd alarm at Main Street, #PointCook just before 1:00 am this morning. Initial crews arriving on scene found a fire in the nail salon within a smoke filled shopping centre, along with the sprinkler system activated.... FRV crews contained the fire to the nail salon and brought the fire under control in 30 minutes, further checking for fire hot spots within the salon and worked to clear the smoke from the shopping centre. Werribee Fire Brigade - CFA and Hoppers Crossing assisted FRV with support while on scene of the incident. Gas and power companies were on scene to ensure the building's supply was secure and safe. Thankfully this early in the morning the shopping centre was vacant and no one was injured. Specialist FRV Fire Investigators are on scene determining the cause of the fire. #frvfires #cfafires #SmokeAlarmsSaveLives #WeWorkAsOne

14.01.2022 Yesterday, Victoria Police launched Operation Safeguard calling on all Victorians to please be aware of activities you do throughout summer which may cause fires. Careless behaviour could lead to causing a bushfire with devastating consequences. If you have concerns about someone’s activities or see something suspicious, report the behaviour to police straight away. Take extra care this fire season when lighting recreational fires like campfires, conducting burn-offs or us...ing machinery. Keeping our communities safe is a shared responsibility. For immediate emergency assistance, always call Triple Zero (000). You can also report confidentially to Crime Stoppers Victoria on 1800 333 000 or via www.crimestoppersvic.com.au

09.01.2022 Being able to give your precise location in an emergency can save vital time and lives. The free #emergencyplus app has been upgraded with What Three Words - Every 3 metre square in the world has been given a #whatthreewords address so you can #HelpTripleZeroFindYou with just three words. Be prepared this summer and download the app!
