25.01.2022 Muddy & Easter enjoying a holiday in the long grass. At Hop To It, we also have outside gardens for buns who either want a run or whose bunny parents want them to enjoy a holiday in the open. These 2 are huge so a cage is not for them. Parents requested an outside garden so they are being moved around as they mow!

25.01.2022 Ok bunny people, the website is as loaded with goodies as I can get it. there is a wait on the T-Shirts as I need to order them as required so we don't get too many printed at once but the other items are ready to go. https://www.hoptoitbunnies.com If I have missed anything or messed something up please tell me! Also please double check postage as i'm not sure if it calculation properly yet.

23.01.2022 Mahk has been a boarder here for ages. After about 12 months her mum and dad decided it was time for a partner. Kristoff was a match made in heaven, they adored each other and the time they spent here was like 2 newlyweds. But Kristoff previous life was cut short. The whole family was shattered. This holiday it was time for Mahk to find a new husbun. Now its Mahk and Billy!

20.01.2022 Hello bunny world. I am needing to make some changes to the way I/the refuge is contacted. There are so many ways that we can be reached these days & it is beco...ming overwhelming. I am removing my phone number from the page so that I can try to limit the ways of contacting me personally. The same needs to apply to Hop To It as I am letting people down & I hate that. If you really really want to secure a bun for adoption we MUST have a deposit paid into the Rescue account so everyone involved here can see. We will only hold a bunny for 2 weeks so you can sort your space out but we have had buns on hold for people only to have them give reason after reason as to why they can't take them "yet". Some of these buns miss out on being adopted as while on hold another potential home comes & goes. After 2 weeks we need to introduce boarding fees. We just cannot afford to cover food costs of buns indefinitely, & we do need the space. I am truely sorry if this upsets anyone but I need things to become a little easier for me to manage. So please, if you need to contact me about anything refuge please do it though the page or email. Many thanks for taking the time to read this too. See more

20.01.2022 Muddy and Easter are 2 huge Giant Flemish buns whose parents are currently overseas. They requested that these 2 be outside as much as possible so they can run around. They are currently enjoying our Bluey & Alice garden, sheltered by the expansive Mulberry tree that offers both shade and protection. When it gets hot they will be inside in air conditioned comfort but for now they are very happy buns.

20.01.2022 Okay folks! Sir Maverick-the-Marvellous has a very important message for ALL bunny mummies & daddies: Please share....

20.01.2022 A few more of our boarders. This was over the Christmas, New Year period. We have all new buns in now. Its a bit hard to do selfies with all the buns getting TV or cuddle time but Havanas got in. Lol

19.01.2022 Jump on in and have a look.

17.01.2022 One of our regular Guests Chewy, enjoying binky space and fresh nasturtiums from the garden.

17.01.2022 The beautiful Jess. Jessie has been staying with us for a while now and each time she stays, she gets to own more of our house. From TV time to garden time and special treat time, She is just a Gem and she is so loved here.

16.01.2022 Hello fellow bunny lovers. The Coronavirus has affected all of us & each business has to work out its own way to survive. as we are based primarily on the travel industry for our business we have all but ground to a halt. Travel is no longer a reason to board your bunnies but we do have a suggestion for those of you with multiple bunnies that are not bonded. We pride ourselves on being able to bond groups of bunnies & personally I have a group of 6 bonded buns, but it has be...en as big as 10. Many of these have been failed rescues that did not have all that long left for one reason or another but awe bonded them into the home tribe. If you currently have two or more groups of buns that you need to keep separated for one reason or another, think about booking them in for bonding. Its so much easier to clean one area than two or even 3 as the case may be. Sometimes it doesn't work & sometimes you need a new bunny to change the dynamics of the group but please ask us. The funds raised through Hop To It, help keep the refuge going, which we are struggling to do. The cost is the same as boarding but on our end there is a lot more to do so really its a bargain! The photos are of my bonded 10 going through the bonding process but I could rarely get them all in one pic! See more

16.01.2022 Sally, Mo & Jo had the luxury of half of my lounge room as we were too full to set up a large pen. They eventually moved into a pen and left me a huuuuge mess to clean up. But I cant be cross as all were adopted from here. Sally 3 years ago and Mo & Jo just recently after Sals partner Mason crossed (possibly thumped across)the rainbow bridge. They certainly took advantage!

15.01.2022 Our current boarders, Didi, Bless and Fizz & Rigby.

15.01.2022 Please help Sean support us. We are getting so many surrenders at the moment its just ridiculous.

14.01.2022 Charlie Brown was adopted from the refuge about 2 years ago. I havent see. Him since so its wonderful having him here for a stay. We do regular telly times together and he is such a smooch. Charlie enjoying pellet time.

11.01.2022 Got anyone spring to mind????

11.01.2022 So one of the things we do here is bonding buns. Your buns. If a bond has been broken it can be difficult to repair. Here are 2 brothers who had that happen and so far since their arrival they are both grooming each other. This is all a huge surprise for their dad as when he has been trying its turned into WW3!

09.01.2022 These two little boys were desexed a wee bit late so that theyre hormones had well and truely kicked in and the fur was flying. Thankfully I am happy to announce that we have brothers united.

09.01.2022 Socks & Mittens arrived here some 2 years ago aged 8 weeks along with 8 siblings, mum, dad and an Aunty. All have thankfully found homes but Socks and Mittens took the longest to find a home. They are now in an amazing home but having a holiday with their bunny granny while their hoomans are away. The new boarding room isnt quite ready so they are very much at home in my lounge! Socks is being Sicks and hiding but Mittens is at her tucker! Next lot: trying to get Pas cheesecake!

08.01.2022 Scooby is a sort of boarder. Technically a Foster to adopt but his dental abscess has not been healing at home and his 14 yr old mum struggles to keep up the stressful taste of cleaning it out daily and giving him his shots so we are keeping him her, as a boarder so it feels s little more like home. He is such a brave little bun. When he first came back with the abscess, he was very run down so needed some tlc to gain strength for surgery. Not long after arriving we discovered he had developed pneumonia. He was quite a sick bun but we got him through. This is him enjoying his telly time. Although I dont think he is all that interested in the movie!

04.01.2022 Hello bunny parents, we have just had a cancellation as the bunny mummy concerned thought we would still be closed due to the outbreak of Calici at the refuge. We have notified anyone that would have been boarding with us during the danger period & are taking bookings from September 8th on, even though this is more than a week after our safety period ends. I think that after all the cleaning & disinfecting thats been done here, it will probably be the safest place for buns to stay.

02.01.2022 Please head to the refuge page to bid.

01.01.2022 ****PANDEMIC UPDATE**** Hello bunny world. Due to the latest surge in Covid-19 cases in Victoria, we have decided to close the refuge to the public until the e...nd of August at the earliest. We are still able to function at full tilt as we are classified as an essential service but still need to raise funds to keep the buns we have here fed and in good health. We are closing to protect our volunteers as without them, we fold. We will continue to publish cute bunny spam, especially baby bunny spam but that will be as close as anyone can get. See more
