24.01.2022 Who is our club’s best dancer?

23.01.2022 As the 2020 Season draws near (scheduled start is Saturday 4 April and Sunday 5 April) we have organised some trial games starting this Sunday 15 March as well as the next two Sundays. The schedule for this Sunday is as follows: Under 8 and Under 9 - Berowra were double booked so cannot provide a team to play. We tried other clubs but could not find a game.... The Under 8 team were to play at 9.30am so you could have another training session at that time. The Under 9 team were to play at 10.30am so you could have another training session at that time. Under 10 - game starts at 9.30am at Mills Park Small Field Under 11/12 - game starts at 8.30am at Mills Park big field Under 13 - game starts at 9.45am at Mills Park big field Under 16 - game starts at 11.00am at Mills Park Over 35 - game starts at 12.30pm at Mills Park All Age Men games at 2.30pm and 4.30pm at Mills Park. Prior to the start of the games we will need help to set up the goals, corner posts and so on ready for the games. Also we will need helpers in the Canteen and BBQ during the day to ensure we can operate the canteen during the games.

23.01.2022 Hi RSL Football Community, I have been nominated for election to the position of Director to Hornsby RSL Club and would ask for those of you that are current members of Hornsby RSL to review and consider the value I may bring to making a positive difference in serving the members and the community if successful. There is 3 days of voting left from 12-8pm in the front foyer of the RSL Club. In the event this motivates you to vote and/ or share a vote for me, I genuinely apprec...iate that support. Please feel free to msg me if I can help with further information. Kind Regards John Warren Life Member

18.01.2022 From NSFA: TheBoard has unanimously decided, in line with other community sporting groups on the North Shore, to postpone all football activities, including training until Friday 1st May, 2020, with immediate effect. This postponement includes Easter, Anzac and school holiday periods. The decision will allow for six weeks of planning to deliver a modified season, which at this stage will commence at the beginning of May.... The Board will monitor the evolving situation and meet at least weekly, to consider the implications. A Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) guide will be published in the coming days. From our President and committee: The Club will still hold its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 1st April at 7.00 pm at Mills Park but will need to follow "Personal Space" guidelines. The reason behind the need to hold our AGM is to meet statutory requirement from Dept of Fair Trading. We need at least 20 people for the quorum for the AGM. The meeting should not take very long to complete.

16.01.2022 Elections for the Hornsby RSL Club board of directors have been completed and we would like to congratulate both Terry Clarke and John Warren on their successful elections. Both are life members of our football club and I am sure will do a great job continuing our parent club forward! Both have asked to pass on their thanks and gratitude to all members and supporters that voted for them over the past week!

15.01.2022 Who is your prediction for your squad’s Golden Boot this season?

15.01.2022 Hi everyone, I hope you are all safe and well and have not gone crazy yet. We are all impacted by the current Covid-19 situation but it looks like things are on the improve.... As far as playing football this season the Association is confident that football will be played in some form as soon as the OK is given. There will be certain restrictions or guidelines put into place for the safety of all and training will be slightly different given the max 10 people restriction. The Club has plenty of space to operate training sessions when we are able to and this will be advised in due course. For competition age groups the NSFA has published a DRAFT draw commencing early June but the actual commencement date has yet to be determined. The aim of the NSFA is to play a minimum of 9 rounds to a maximum of 18 depending on grounds and time. Some games could be scheduled for mid-week (instead of training?) and we expect grounds to be available to Football until the end of September. The Association is in constant contact with our state body and various other sport related bodies to keep up to date with current happenings around Community and Elite Sport returning ASAP. The NSFA is sending out newsletters to all registered members with current updates so please keep a look out for these and read them. As further information comes to hand we will let you know. Please stay safe and do some individual training and skill work until we can offically re-start. Thanks Roy Ashpole President
