23.01.2022 Being in business What a fabulous few days of being at the Spirit horse festival in New Zealand. This was the Festivals third year of operation and our second attending as presenters. It is such a boon (not least because of escaping the searing heat at home) to be able to immerse ourselves in the three day experience of being in the presence of some many like-minded people. This year we concentrated on the Art and practice of being a business. With two presentations ta...ken from our Inspiring Business Growth program and a full day workshop for practitioners it was a great opportunity to strengthen and support the growth of Equine Assisted Learning or Horse assisted Education or whatever the acronym of the day is used. The truth of the matter is that there are talented people being trained every day to take this modality out into the world, serving customers diverse as children with learning or behavioural difficulties, adults with PTSD, cancer and other chronic disease suffers, personal development, organisational leadership and team development and communications skills. There is not however so much support for dealing with actually being in business, because, without doubt, it does not matter if you are a mental health practitioner, a charity or a coaching organisation, you are in business. A bit of a shock when twenty people attended our first session on marketing! Or maybe not. It was such a joy to work with the Dune Lakes Lodge herd and have the opportunity to work with enthusiastic practitioners on their own businesses.

19.01.2022 What does Joy mean to you? Tell us using 20 words of more what brings you joy. The answer that gets the most engagements from others will receive a choice of a ...Horsanity Reflection Journal or a copy of the book "Bedlam" by Richard Smith. These are some components that have been identified as comprising or leading to joy: * feeling I am enough * a deep satisfaction that what I do matters * living a life in accordance with my value and beliefs * connection with the people who matter to me * being part of a community * a sense of well being and wholeness * spending time in nature * simply being with pets

17.01.2022 Join Lynn, Pam & the Horsanity Herd in the beautiful Segenhoe Valley horse area of the Upper Hunter for this two-day wellness retreat which melds together relaxing in nature, restoring with a gentle yoga practice & a journey of mindful reflection in the healing presence of the horses (no riding is involved and no experience with horses is necessary).

16.01.2022 Horsanity has been an integral part of the Ignite Leadership program ( a module in the Diploma of Leadership and Management), delivered by the Pharmacy Society of Australia, since inception. We have run this workshop three times in Melbourne, once in Newcastle and yesterday was our third in Canberra.
