15.01.2022 Welcome to Horse and Hound Bodyworks, my name is Jess Trent Smith. Horse and Hound Bodyworks offers massage and skeletal alignment through stretches for horses and working dogs. My love for horses started when I was young, my parents always keeping horses and I learnt from a very young age that I wanted to be around them and work with them. My passion for working dogs has developed over the years while I was working in the agricultural industry. ... I believe in fostering happy, healthy, hardworking, and well-educated horses and dogs. No matter what discipline you ride your horse in or how many sheep and cattle your dogs work, we consistently ask these animals to perform at a high level. I aim to improve the longevity and performance of both animals and view my services as a preventative tool to breakdown and injury, while promoting better health and enhancing their performance. For a limited time I will be offering a reduced intorductory rate. So lets get your horses and hounds feeling their best! If you are interested in booking a treatment session, contact me on via txt or call 0432 524 676, or message to my page. Talk soon Jess

05.01.2022 Rainie Rainie is an 8-year-old Stockhorse mare who has a her 10-year-old rider, Pip. Together they compete in challenges and camp drafting. For 12 months or more Rainie has been difficult to bridle, girthy and had a short stride until warmed up. Pip would need Mum and Dads help to bridle and girth up Rainie as she would throw her head and run sideways or backwards. ... Under assessment I found a few issues that were causing Rainies behaviour. Firstly, the bridling. There should be around a fingers gap between the facial muscles and the ear cartilage. When the facial muscles become sore and knot the ear cartilage will be immobile, causing the equivalent of a headache or migraine. Both of Rainies ears were immobile and she had knotting in the top of her splenius muscle Secondly, the girthy behaviour. Rainie had tightness and marble sized knots in her pectoral muscles. This pain and discomfort is displayed when a girth is tightened and puts pressure on these sore muscles. Lastly, the shortness of step. I found Rainie also had tight hamstrings and abductor muscles. This tightness, as well as the soreness in her pectorals, explains Rainies hesitation to stride out until these muscles have warmed up and loosened to allow a full range of motion. Using massage techniques, passive stretches and active stretches to encourage alignment, Pip is now able to saddle and bridle Rainie unassisted and Rainie will travel out in an even stride. Now Pip & Rainie can get back to doing what they love!

05.01.2022 So proud of my sponsored riders The Brabin girls. Well done
