19.01.2022 Pony Spam, Yee ha to getting up at the crack of dawn to go to Sofala Show, thinking that we were just going for shits and giggles was a shock when our classes were over and we got thrown in the breeds ring as judge. Yep you heard that right. This hack Mum was only going to the show for the coffee. Ok so most may know that I can be judgemental so when asked I said ok with a giggle. Stepping up was actually heaps of fun. I recon I want to do it again. I could have never pred...icted what was going to happen today and will look back and say amen to new challenges. Ps, Apple Jack was just there for the food but came home with reserve champion and found a lovely stock horse that she fell in love with. Yee ha. See more

18.01.2022 So true... the amount of times (as a coach) my arena has become a psychologists office for hormonal teenage girls (& equally so for me!)... when feeding up is ...actually a learner driver course... on discovering a cut & bleeding leg, learning not to freak out, & act practically... when devastated because the horse is injured & cant compete, understanding that’s horses, & your day will come.... when you’ve fallen off for the third time & cant get over that stupid ditch, learning to be resilient & using every mistake to become more knowledgeable... That anger starts when knowledge ends, & to be patient/take deep breaths even when you feel utterly frustrated... Learning to communicate with an animal, not through speaking, but through body language... I owe so much to all the horses in my life! PS make sure you tap on the photo to read the whole thing!
