13.01.2022 Willow found a white, 'black faced' monster in the paddock today. She decided that it was up to her to rid the monster from the paddock as none of the other horses had seen it or were simply not brave enough.

11.01.2022 Hi All. Horses in Mind has had to cease all lessons & activities due to Covid -19. We have had to totally restructure everything so that the animals are still getting the best of care. We have sent some of our Horses & Calves to friends at Blackbutt. They are now roaming around an amazing 140 acre grass filled paddock with a wonderful family looking after them. The Mini Bull, Ebony the mini cow & the 3 goats will join them on the weekend. Most of the chickens have gone to ...temporary homes. We still have some ducks, pigs, riding horses & ponies to take care of. At this time during Covid-19 we have a very limited offer to our families. We are now leasing some of our riding horses. This means 3x2hr sessions to intermediate to advanced riders with one of our horses or ponies ($110). The other option is to sponsor ($50) for 2 x 2hr session with a horse/pony for families who might like the experience of working on the ground feeding, grooming, bonding & walking a horse or pony. If you are interested please contact Cherrie. 0413314428.

09.01.2022 Hello everyone, I just thought I would put up some pics to let you all know that the lovely animals at Horses In Mind are all doing really well. Take care and keep safe.

06.01.2022 Hi all friends & families at HIM We are sending this note out to all of our Agistees, Leasee’s, Sponsors, Young people & their families. At HIM we take seriously the possible return of Covid -19 restrictions. In order for us to comply & keep all our visitors & volunteers safe we will be increasing our stance on social distancing, hand washing as well as sanitising our equipment & communal surfaces. Your help is required by adhering to the guidelines in place while at the pad...dock & making sure you do not come to the paddock if you or any of your close contacts are sick or displaying even mild symptoms. To keep our animals safe & well cared for. We will have to ask people not to enter the property if they have any symptoms. Thank you Cherrie

01.01.2022 Hi Everyone. It has been a very long time between posts. Horses in Mind has been through the wringer and we are not yet out the other side but we are still here. I would like to thank all of the people who are waiting for us to be back to normal however that is going to take some time yet. ... Unfortunately due to an extremely difficult time from the end of 2019 of droughts, dust storms, floods, infections with the horses (respiratory, rain scald, & conjunctivitis) over the weeks leading up to Covid we had to put off all of our staff and are now operating on a volunteer basis only. Covid 19 came along & forced HIM to completely restructure our operation for now & in the near future. Our first priority was & still is looking after all of our animals with the best care possible. After that was to look at activities that would enable us to receive enough income to keep us afloat, (we are & have always been fully self-supporting). During Covid 19 with the restrictions on numbers of people being able to be at the paddock at any one time we had to choose our action plan carefully. This plan was to part-lease out our riding horses to competent, independent riders, have some one of our families sponsor our ponies & non-riding horses & to continue with our HAL (Horse Assisted Learning) & our HHC ( Horse Handling Clinics) to make ends meet. We have had lots of individuals & families come on board wanting to help. Whether it was with leasing, sponsoring, volunteering or one of our other activities. HIM has a real community feel about it and everyone is supporting, learning & benefiting at the same time. If you or your family would like to become involved in one of the activities or options available please contact me on 0413314428 or email me on [email protected]
