After this is over, it's time to hold those responsible accountable with jail time! The arsonists, the negligent politicians for mismanagement of their portfolio. For a start the Federal environment minister Sussan Ley MP of Scott Morrisons govt should be the first head to roll. Such gross negligence occasioning death, suffering and destruction is not acceptable. Any person in their day to day job responsible for something like this would be thrown behind bars for life..this is not a witch hunt, this is the seriousness of holding such a high position, you get paid the big bucks, to make the big decisions and you must be accountable Sussan Ley MP.

The morning was an interesting one, normally I would get up for the sunrise, but it had been so windy last night, I figured it wasn't the safest thing to do (apparently loads of trees came down). And reports were correct..., had to dodge about 40 odd trees along the drive. The drive along the Gordon River road was very slow for about an hour or so. But when I got to the Needles I was glad to be out of the car. The hike up was totally worth it as the weather atop was perfect.
