22.01.2022 Hands free loading and unloading - Well done Nugget - tomorrow we tie you in

18.01.2022 Two eyes is a sign that the horse respects you

17.01.2022 Thank you Rosie we had never met before today, thank you for trusting a complete stranger to jump on board and take you on a new adventure so much fun, you’re a star

16.01.2022 Day 2 - Facing his fears and slowly gaining confidence- Well done Brumby

15.01.2022 This girl loves water

15.01.2022 Repetition. Repetition, repetition. When a horse has had an accident in a float there is no quick fix. This kids go to is to turn, panic and bolt backwards but there was none of that today. He even tried to run me over to get back in the float - now that he is craving to be inside the float we are getting somewhere- look your fears in the eye and give them a wink Brumby

11.01.2022 Float Day 1 of 3 - By the end of this session I could gently ask Nugget to come fully into the float, gently ask him to back up without rushing or losing his sh! I asked him forward, back, forward and back. He backed up ever so slowly in the end. Good job Nugget He was quite relaxed in the float - not relaxed enough to close him in fully - hopefully tomorrow (he will let me know when it’s time) The goal for day 3 is to send him in, no nervousness and to shut him in and take him for a drive let’s see what tomorrow brings

11.01.2022 Day 4 - Nugget is finding his happy place in the float We’ve turned a corner - he’s finally using the thinking side of his mind and not his reactive side

09.01.2022 Perfect day for a beach ride

07.01.2022 2nd ground lesson - Nugget and me - after having a 2 week break we both decided it was time to have a play date. Last time it was nearly impossible to get this kid to canter from the ground but I did not give up trying. We ended on a good note, one that stuck with him apparently because today I had pretty good ground control and canter no problem- even gave me the finger at one point, short term success - Nugget 0 Sam 1 At the end of the session he finally spotted the green thing on the roundpen, spooked, and so I sent him between me and the scary object. Pretty happy with what was our second play together with 2 weeks in between Good job brumby

03.01.2022 So relieved to see this kid moving freely again. After a slip in the wet paddock a few weeks ago and waiting for a Chiro to see him - thank you Gareth at Bluetier - you are an angel sent from above
