20.01.2022 Unfortunately this year our Community TAB State Games were postponed to mid 2021 due to lack of community confidence in attending such a large event at this time. On a positive note some of our participants at our centres will be participating in an inaugural virtual games event over the coming weeks with a Wild West theme. Participants at centres are encouraged to take part in a range of mini events at their centres with a Wild West theme. Events include cactus (Barrel) racing, Keyhole and bending races, jumping and a mounted fancy dress competition. Ribbons will be presented at centres for the event and judging of timed events and fancy dress will be undertaken following all submissions from centres. We would love to see some of the action so please share photos and videos #HorsePowerWildWest or email to [email protected].
20.01.2022 Thanks to WA Fashions on the Field for inviting us to join them in celebrating the creative, beautiful fashionistas of racing. Congratulations to the 2020 winner Anna Hildebrandt and to all of this year's finalists.

16.01.2022 We had the pleasure of joining Racing and Wagering Western Australia - RWWA and Paul Papalia CSC MLA at the launch of the Off the Track WA Estate and Retraining Program. The Estate will be used to facilitate the retraining of retired racehorses and we are very excited to announce that two of these beautiful horses Hoot and Jeza (pictured below) will be retrained to help people with disabilities at our HorsePower Peel Group. With the right temperament and training ex-racehorse...s have the ability to become perfect therapy horses and we think these two boys will make great additions to our herd. We look forward to following their journey.
14.01.2022 Bayley Thomas is the Off the Track WA Retrainer who will be working with Hoot and Jez, the two retired racehorses who will hopefully be joining the team at our HorsePower Peel Group in the not too distant future.

11.01.2022 Over the last few weeks many centres across the state have been participating in the HorsePower Australia Progressive Dressage event. This event is a unique event where a judge travels around the state to judge participants in a variety of dressage tests. The event is an initiative of HorsePower Australia's Dressage Sub-committee and aims to encourage participation in dressage events in a safe and welcoming environment. Our congratulations to all participants and thanks to ...all their coaches and volunteers who spent hours washing, pampering and plaiting the horses and supporting them in this years event. Special thanks to this years judge Chris Hope and her husband John for assisting with pencilling and to Dressage sub-committee member extraordinaire Fleur Litster for organising and managing this event which continues to go from strength to strength. If you participated in our 2020 event we would love to see your photos and hear how you did #HorsePowerProgressive Photo Credit: Christine Hale
