25.01.2022 HSA power trimmer - the Ultra Kit https://www.horsesenseaustralia.com/power-trim.html

25.01.2022 Mare owners might like to check this video out.

24.01.2022 Rollz Royce has captured the horse industry’s attention in the show pen like no other, with the captivating, yet charismatic way he moves through the pen. Royce... has multiple championship titles to his name, including back to back wins, in the big pen at Fort Worth. He is now starting his transition from the show pen to the breeding barn. His first foal crop has now hit the ground and we are seeing the same quality, we saw in him as a weanling. For more information on this amazing stallion go to beaugalyean.com/rollz-royce and follow him on Facebook. See more

24.01.2022 From the scientific published research that we've read, it seems that PEMF increases the circulation and this helps to detox the body and decrease inflammation. There are some published papers here: https://www.klemenspulsers.com/scientific-research-pemf.html but most of the research is done on human beings not horses. There are however some youtube testimonials that were done on horses and dogs and some on people too but we can't make any medical, veterinary or therapeut...ic claims for our units (the Equine Energiser or other Klemens Pulsers) as they are not patented or medically tested. Some testimonial videos made using Klemens Pulsers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LCmrQ5QmvCM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mA8Vi7cfWO8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dvttAEUNQg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0NsySYqfQZQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-FHsChRNW3U https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a06VTHrBvyE Given that increased circulation and de-stressing produces healing changes in the horse's body, it is normal to see the urination response we believe. Human beings are also instructed to drink extra water after a massage or PEMF treatment in order to help the body remove the toxins that have been moved by the increased circulation. Some info on horses and PEMF here: https://thehorse.com//what-do-we-know-about-rehab-modalit/ "Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMF) Primarily used to aid bone healing, regulates bony elements and maintains bone mass Thought to reduce pain and inflammation by stimulating nitric oxide Limited evidence in horses One canine study found significantly faster recovery of load bearing following tibial osteotomy Approved by the FDA in humans with long bone fracture nonunions and following lumbar/cervical spine fusion surgery Use is not restricted in competition Caution should be used for tendon healing as it might delay the process" In our own experience and in feedback from one horse trainer (whose testimonial appears in the video links above), the PEMF unit actually increased the healing of the tendon however more studies would need to be done. If your horse has a health issue, we recommend that a qualified veterinarian should be consulted! Many veterinarians understand about PEMF devices and some agree to trial them. Please consult with your veterinarian!

17.01.2022 More than disgusted. Not with Monty Roberts, but with the on-going TWH abuse.

15.01.2022 Wow, must be a very well swept road with no gravel!

15.01.2022 Wow, calm horse.

14.01.2022 Some horse genetics are priceless.

14.01.2022 Great to see that the cause is treated and the horse is not blamed for 'being naughty' during girthing up.

12.01.2022 "IT IS ARGUABLY THE MOST VISIBLE FORM OF VIOLENCE TO ANIMALS." Everybody knew that beating horses with a whip causes pain, but here is the evidence to prove it.... We all look forward to seeing the racing industry act on this compelling evidence for the love of the horse. Thanks to Catalyst and The ABC for putting in the effort and research to make such a great episode. Here's what we think the racing industry should do about the whip: http://bit.ly/1DRVn10

12.01.2022 I hear the same arguments about the 'sport' of fishing and its use of hooks as what is said about racehorses and whips. The victim 'can't feel it. It is not painful to the fish.' Culture can be very entrenched, but when the culture is cruel, it should be changed.

08.01.2022 Please help the government decide to prohibit museling of lamb's bodies. Survey ends on 31 July 2020. https://www.peta.org.au/action/nsw-mulesing-inquiry/

06.01.2022 Drugging and then racing horses is not in the best interests of the horses. You can sign a petition to speak out against the practice here.

05.01.2022 Oh, I haven't had to deal with a case of nogoora burr this intense! Noogoora burr is a native of the south of North America, Mexico and the Caribbean. It was first noticed in Australia on Noogoora Station, Queensland in the1870s, where it was probably introduced as a contaminant of cotton seeds

05.01.2022 Riding a horse too early is inflicting stress and perhaps damage on very fragile joints.

05.01.2022 Rain after drought brings more than just laminitis risks. Rye-grass staggers can be caused by paspalum grass too. Grass staggers can happen at any time of the year but is most common after drought-breaking rain, resulting in lush grass. Rapidly growing grasses tend to be rich in potassium and poor in magnesium/calcium.https://www.hygain.com.au/rye-grass-staggers-in-horses/

04.01.2022 A fly plague in the outback is thought to be due to decline in dung beatle populations. So horrible for humans and animals making fly veils essential. We still have dung beatles on our property thankfully, but we also used fly traps for the past two years.

03.01.2022 So does mean that by 2024 we won't be able to ride through the existing state forests anymore?

02.01.2022 Received the following in an email from the Coalition for the Protection of Racehorses. FINED FOR REFUSING TO CARRY A WHIP The use of whips remains a contentious and divisive issue among the racing fraternity a trajectory that is guaranteed to continue until they are banned. ... Just weeks after Racing Victoria pulled the pin on their plans to conduct a series of whip free races, with an overall objective towards slowly phasing it out (more here), Tasmanian harness racing driver and trainer Gavin Kelly was fined $1000 for refusing to follow a direction to carry a whip. Kelly is now challenging whether such a direction is lawful. In a recent interview with the ABC, he said: "I see what horses can do without being whipped and I don't see that inflicting pain to generate a result is necessary if you train them to the best of their ability". "The industry keeps trying to just window dress the issue. They like to look like they are making changes and look like they've got animal welfare at heart, but I'm not a believer that they're out there to generate meaningful change". Listen to the full audio recording here. We’ve seen jockeys who have beaten their horse with the whip over three times more than the allowable number receive smaller fines. The whip is just the tip of the iceberg of horse racing cruelty, and still, Kelly is being lauded by many as a hero just for refusing to carry one. The industry really does seem determined to dig its own grave. See more about the whip controversy here: https://horseracingkills.com/campaigns/the-whip/
