25.01.2022 If you are thinking about where to stay in West Gippsland for a night, weekend or longer, Rosewood Park Guest Suite in Yarragon is your ideal getaway. Guests have given us the thumbs up and Booking.Com have acknowledged our performance as hosts with this award.

23.01.2022 24/7 supervision was a stand out following my straw poll regarding the 3 most important considerations when choosing an agistment facility. It's one thing to offer it, it's another to deliver it. I pride myself on the latter. Our property is small enough for me to see animals from the house and hear unusual activity. In addition to that, I physically check horses every morning and night irrespective if they are being fed or not, just to make sure they're okay and to straight...en rugs. Interestingly, I was talking with a prospective client who asked me to quote on looking after her 10 horses (at her property). She talked about keeping it simple and maybe just doing a drive-by to ensure all horses are standing. I'm not sure if they were testing me or not but regardless it's not who I am or how I operate. I insisted that I would physically check each horse twice daily. That's what they're paying for and as a horse owner entrusting the care and wellbeing of my beloveds to someone else I would expect nothing less. So at Horse Sit Stay, we deliver the ultimate in peace of mind so you can get away, and not forget your horses, but know they are in the best of care. Your horse is worth it. Don't settle for less. 21.01.2022 Say hi to our latest guest, Dallas. What a gorgeous boy he is. An OTT 4-year-old who is so kind, chilled and amazingly calm in what must seem to him a very different environment. I think I'm in love.

21.01.2022 If you're not a member please seriously consider it. Read on.

18.01.2022 Just a reminder that I offer a home-based horse care service if you have too many horses to move. Just recently I was asked to quote on caring for 10 horses by a client who needs to be able to get away, maybe at a moments notice for a week or so. It's important for her to know that her horses are being supervised by an experienced, mature and professional horse handler. It's all about peace of mind. This service is ideal for clients living within a 15 - 20km radius of Yarragon. Check out my website for more details at www.horsesitstay.horse.

17.01.2022 Trying to get a photo without donkey ears was an absolute mission. Say hi to my two beautiful mares, Georgie and Diva. They're mother and daughter. What I want to know is how do they know what a camera is and more to the point, that you want to take a photo? Despite using all the tricks it was just by chance that my sister captured the moment. Compare the horse shots to the pooch photos and the pic of the blonde (heifer) Admittedly the dogs are trained to sit, drop and stay.... How do I train my horses to do the same??? Anyway, enjoy this montage of beautiful photos from Horse Sit Stay, at Rosewood Park and let me know which is your favourite. Photo credits to Louise Angerer and EDEN

17.01.2022 Another attempt at introductions this morning. All quiet on the western front now. So fingers crossed. Feed time will be a test. I need to establish a new routine. Milla is very quick to learn so as long as l stay out of harms way we should nail feed time in a couple of days.

16.01.2022 $700 raised thus far. What a great result in 24 hours. I'm touched by the support shown by those who have donated so far. I know that the Project Hope Horse Welfare Vic committee will be so grateful and will use the money wisely to assist the many horses in their care. I am actually their newsletter editor so I will be reporting on this fundraising project in the December edition. As an organisation run by volunteers you can be rest assured all money donated goes towards caring for horses in need. Once again, thank you.

16.01.2022 Hi all. OMG it’s been one hell of a year. No one going anywhere meant no horses needing short term holiday agistment. But with restrictions easing in the regions at least, l am open for business. Now an opportunity that has presented itself to offer equine post op/ injury recovery and care. I’m not a rehab facility because l don’t have the equipment or the professional qualifications. But what l’ve discovered is that l can offer owners and horses post surgery or injury/ sick...ness a haven to recover. What lm providing is peace of mind to owners that can’t provide their beloved horse the vital care and attention needed post trauma. Your horse will receive vital attention needed in those early days post trauma/ post hospital days. I provide 24/7 care, supervision, admin of medication, bandage change, stabling, feeding, monitored grazing. I’m not sure what to charge. But lm thinking around $50 per day. Is there a need for such a service and would you be prepared to pay for it? I welcome your feedback.

16.01.2022 The introduction this morning.

15.01.2022 I can’t recommend this team highly enough. Purchased my new horse through them and they have been working with me and Milla to get us off to the right start over the last 2 weeks.

15.01.2022 My new post and rail fenced yard and stables. For those with horses to be confined and/ or off grass. Ideal for laminitic horses.

14.01.2022 Are you a believer in cross grazing paddocks? I certainly am. I'm posting for a colleague who has 2 hand reared weaners for sale (heifer and steer). If we had not bought our 3 blondes I would snap these up in a heartbeat but alas these 2 will become someone else's pets and lawn/paddock mowers. What's really important with these two is that they are sold as a pair. They are located in Calignee. Details below. Hereford/Jersey Cross... 6-8 months old 1x Steer 1x Heifer Vaccinated and drenched $450 the pair will not separate As you can see nice, quiet and friendly If interested call Scott on 0428 582 212 to discuss delivery or pick-up options. I believe they will fit and travel easily in a horse float!!

12.01.2022 I am sharing this on behalf of Project Hope Horse Welfare Victoria. Hopefully, you can attend. Project Hope is holding a Christmas in July Horse Gear Sale to raise funds to continue our great work helping horses in need. It will be held in Gembrook. There will be lots of great gear on offer at discounted prices, come along and pick up a bargain. Take a look at the attached flyer and we look forward to seeing you there.... Merry Christmas!

12.01.2022 Rosewood Park is a property of mixed landscapes. Although it's small we have flat to undulating and steep paddocks. I'm wondering how important it is to advise prospective clients of this fact because not all horses can be accommodated in the flat paddocks. I'm interested in your thoughts.

12.01.2022 100's of Ibis visit Rosewood Park every year at this time to rest, roost and rejuvenate from the migration south. They can be seen grazing in paddocks around Yarragon in large number but their roosting ritual close to sunset is amazing to watch and listen to.

06.01.2022 And another clip of how this morning’s into unfolded.

06.01.2022 In your reply to my question about considerations when searching for an agistment facility, some of you listed protection from the elements. I just wanted to share with you a couple of pictures of the loose boxes at Horse Sit Stay. I have boxes in most paddocks. To make them extra safe, they're all rubber lined. An important consideration I think because I have a mare that kicks the walls of the box. God knows why, but she does. So I could not have her in a paddock with an unlined loose box without risking serious injury to herself.

05.01.2022 How is it that some horses immediately settle into a new environment and others take time. This is Dallas this morning, 48 hours after arrival and it's like he's been at Horse Sit Stay forever. I believe the vibe of the environment has something to do with it. What do you think?

04.01.2022 In the top three considerations, you listed when choosing an agistment facility was safe fencing. Here at Horse Sit Stay, we offer exactly that. With white electric sight wires on outriggers on all fences, horses keep away from the wire that makes up our boundary fences. Here are some pics. Interested in your thoughts on this electric fencing option.

04.01.2022 Rosewood Park Guest Suite is booked over the Christmas and New Year period. Our reviews just get better and better. Check out what my last guest had to say. He ...and his partner were guests on Christmas night. 'It was one of the best places and best decision to book this, so homely and much better than a hotel stay. Helen is so friendly and nice, with such a walk welcome she guided us for everything in the house, provided breakfast ingredients in fridge and Netflix. Had so much fun with her dogs and horses and cows. I also roamed nearby places like Berry farms and and beautiful country neighbourhood. If you're just a little bit curious you should come and check out Rosewood Park for yourself.

03.01.2022 The helping hands during feedtime at Horse Sit Stay.

02.01.2022 Sunday morning with my new girl Milla (Champagne Salute - her registered name).
