10.01.2022 Paper towel might be helpful cleaning up in the kitchen, but did you know its NOT your friend when it comes to handling a tooth thats been knocked out?! Tha...ts right if youre ever in the unfortunate position of dealing with a dental injury, dont pick up the tooth with paper towel. It can dry it out. If an adult tooth is knocked out, it can be put back into its socket provided its clean. If the tooth is visually dirty, rinse it in some plain milk but dont scrub it. If the tooth wont go back in, its important to keep it from drying out. Always keep it moist by storing it in a small container with enough milk or saline to cover the whole tooth. Once thats done, get to your dentist or hospital emergency department as soon as possible to see about getting the tooth replanted and stabilised. 03.01.2022 CORONA VIRUS (COVID-19) TIPS: To reduce your risk of corona virus, try not to touch your nose or mouth - and cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you co...ugh or sneeze. But still the most effective precaution is to wash your hands thoroughly and regularly. Wimmera Health Care Group has made a brief video featuring Infection Control nurse Amy Elliott to help you wash your hands the best way possible. If you cant use soap and water, the next best alternative is an alcohol-based sanitiser. If you feel sick, isolate yourself at home. There is no need to wear a face mask if you are well. Phone your GP if you need medical attention and they will tell you what to do. Enjoy the video and dont forget to get your flu shot next month.
