24.01.2022 Congratulations James Keyte - 50 years continuous membership of VRA and Natimuk Rifle Club.
23.01.2022 Horsham rifle club are saddened to hear of the loss of Trevor Butler's Dad Len Butler yesterday (Sunday 9th December) at 91 years of age. Our thoughts are with Trevor and his family at this time. There will be a graveside service Monday 17th December at the horsham cemetery. Check the Wimmera Mail Times Wednesday for more information.
23.01.2022 All the best to those competing at the No1 DRA prize meeting at the Horsham Rifle Range this weekend. It might be a little cold but the club rooms are warm and plenty of good food available at the canteen.
18.01.2022 Twelve shooters on the Horsham Range today for our 600-yard event. Under our Covid restrictions we ran the event with some shooters starting at 1pm and then some leaving early to make way for some others to join the event at 3pm thus keeping within our 10 shooter Covid limit. Congratulations to Bruce Holding who shot his first double possible in F Standard with a pair of 60.4’s, also to Craig Leamon and Trevor Heinrich who also shot possible in F Open. Geoff Evans also shot a... double possible in Target Rifle. Next Saturday we have a Covid restricted event at 800-yards F Standard Bruce Holding 60.4 60.4 120.8 Richard Lane 58.2 58.2 116.4 Alan Hobbs 58.4 57.2 115.6 Donald Barnes 58.4 46.0 104.4 Ken Hamilton 48.0 48.0 96.0 Geoff Lierse 41.2 41.2 F Open Craig Leamon 60.3 59.9 119.12 Trevor Hienrich 57.2 60.5 117.7 David Watson 56.1 57.5 113.6 Target Rifle Geoff Evans 50.5 50.6 100.11 John Read 46.1 45.1 91.2 Andy Rudolph 48.3 48.3
18.01.2022 Despite the rain yesterday one intrepid shooter continued on with the rainbow lighting the way!
17.01.2022 At the Horsham Rifle Range today we shot our 10 ring metric targets at 300 meters. (we are lucky enough to have both 300 yard and 300 meter firing points at our Range). These targets are much tighter than our normal 300 yard targets and instead of a 10 shot string being scored out of 50 or 60 like we normally do, metric targets are scored out of 100 A great day was had by all 14 shooters. All our results are uploaded to the Hexta electronic target website so check it o...ut at the following link and while there do a bit of exploring of the Hexta site, it makes our shooting so much more enjoyable https://shooting.hexsystems.com.au/co/view-in-club-by-date Next Saturday we are shooting at 800 yards beginning at 1 pm. Come out for a look if you like, you would be made most welcome
17.01.2022 Interesting historical photo of Kaniva Rifle Club winning the Wannon Cup
15.01.2022 These look good!
13.01.2022 Craig Leamon (FO) of Horsham is presented with the 2019 Medal by Captain Geoff Evans. Good shooting form continues for Craig with a double possible -120.8, at 500 yds today . Great to have 16 Natimuk and Horsham shooters together on the range again. .
13.01.2022 Horsham and Natimuk members back at it again after almost 2 months 'rest'! No problems with maintaining safe distanceing. An enjoyable day with some good results.
07.01.2022 A great morning at the Horsham Rifle Range where the Club Champions from the Horsham, Natimuk, Warracknabeal, Kaniva and Stawell Rifle Clubs competed in the Wimmera District Rifle Association Champion of Champions events. The competition was a "shoulder to shoulder" consisting of 10 shots over 600, 700 and 900 yards, conditions were cold and overcast with moderate wind. Winners were Target Rifle, Paul Rudolph, Horsham; F Class Standard, Bruce Holding, Natimuk; ... F Open, Craig Leamon, Horsham; FTR, Matt Dumesny, Horsham F Standard Junior, Alexander Kinsman, Horsham. Congratulations to each of these Wimmera District Rifle Association Champions who along with all Club Champions are now eligible to shoot in the State Champion of Champions shoot which will be held at Bendigo on Sunday 8th September
