24.01.2022 Spring is on its way! Spring blossom reminds us that at this time of the year, for the past 140+ years, people have begun preparing their entries for the Horsham Show. Since weve gone virtual, use this opportunity to create new memories by capturing a photo of some blossom on this beautiful day and post it here for fun.... because we like to do fun even when things are different.

24.01.2022 The KANNAMAROO Festival is coming to the Showgrounds tomorrow and Sunday with a 2 day carnival. Opening hours are listed in the video. Numbers are limited to 300 people per session. Admission is free. An ATM will be on site. Single entry and exit point is at the Weldon Power Gates. If you have any questions please contact the Kannamaroo Festival Facebook page. This COVID-safe event has been organised by the Kannamaroo Committee.

19.01.2022 We found Jayden with Batgirl in our social garden yesterday! Hed been making her in the workshop with Tim our gardener, who supervises Jaydens work experience with us at the Showgrounds. Jayden attends the Horsham Special School and spends a few hours on Wednesday mornings with us. Like everyone, Jayden is really going to miss the Horsham Show this year. 16.01.2022 MAYDALE RURAL MARKET Its Sunday....a great day to visit (between rain) the Maydale Social Garden, a treasure located on the Maydale Reserve at the Horsham Showgrounds which grows lots of herbs for the community to come and pick when needed! They also grow vegies to support the Laneway Cafe and the Social Pantry. They dont have an online service but if youre a Horsham local you can pop down anytime or you can browse their Facebook page at Maydale Social Garden.... 11.01.2022 STAGE 1 - Maydale Reserves Back Paddock Project Its September and normally wed be preparing for the annual ag show but as we all know, its been cancelled. So instead of going into mourning, weve jumped on board the grants train and have been applying for funding to continue upgrading our reserve, to present you with a much improved landscape for next years show!... Today we celebrate a win! THANK YOU Jay, Matt, manager Jamie, operator Greg and the team from Millers Civil Contractors for awarding and delivering us a piece of your generous community spirit through your One Village initiative! THANK YOU for believing in us! THANK YOU for valuing us! THANK YOU for choosing our project. As one of the recipients of this wonderful initiative, it has enabled us to continue to develop the Maydale Reserve during what is one of the most crippling financial times in our history. This act of kindness gives us hope for the future as we work to upgrade the land by levelling it to improve drainage, sow it to lawn and install an irrigation system to maintain it all year round. We will be looking to our volunteers and the community for support during this process (ask us how!). At this point we ask the community to understand the Maydale Reserve is temporarily closed to unauthorised users. The walking, jogging & riding track is open and we invite you to watch the progress and cheer us on as this space becomes more user friendly for everyone in our community to enjoy!
