24.01.2022 Some data is now finally available on the extent of child abuse by members of organised religion. The extent to which these crimes were covered up by persons within the church was clearly very significant. With such a level of abuse it begs the question; who there didn't know it was happening? It shows the victims were not considered of any consequence and those that did disclose were also treated terribly. We should all stop and consider how such organisations remain tolerated and even supported to continue to exist.

However, a well meaning reluctance to intervene only makes matters worse and is a failure by the wider community to those children. All children, no matter their culture or race, need to be given a 'good enough' level of parenting.
