21.01.2022 Just announced: We will introduce a Bill to the Parliament to legalise voluntary assisted dying. We appointed a panel of experts to recommend the safest-possibl...e model and today, we accepted their recommendations in full. Now, let us have a respectful debate about the choices available to us at the end of our lives. This change may be big but our debate should never make people feel small.

03.01.2022 This painting was completed in 2017 by 14 aboriginal women from different mobs across the country, but all telling the same story. There are 3 segments representing northern, central & southern Australia from North to South, East to West. It describes the importance of 'skin' across the country with the elders determining which blood lines can marry each other (60 000yrs before DNA testing!!) The white circles represent women's waterholes joined by the path that interconnects... them. The bottom right corner is the beginning, the creation, and from where white lines occur is where the elders rules of marriage have been followed. However, places where rules have been ignored the paths have coloured & the children of these marriages may be sick. The artists name are: Daisi Napangarti, Manda, Dolli Napangarti, Judi, Dolly Napangatti, Lilly, Ruby, Bowingtu, Grasey, Shae, Aunti Mini, Aunti Jun, Cody Bindii Napangarti. The painting was donated by the artists to WDCH in recognition of the help of end of life planning given by Lucia Butler & Eric Fairbank to the people in the community, in particular to Cody Bindii Napangarti.
