25.01.2022 2018 will go down as the year of detail lacking design. For whatever numerous reasons detailed documentation has been thin on the ground this year. Thank goodness at least Shawn from 2D Studio supplied some quality plans to quote from! Shopfitters are meant to be magicians at the best of times but now it turns out the estimator and the shopfitter both need to be magicians..... Lacking detail means shonky shopfitters will deliberately leave out vital components when pricing your project which will make them look cheaper but will cost you dearly in the end as your variations keep mounting up. I am glad I do not subscribe to this style of business ethics! Bring on 2019 the year of the emergence of good design once again!
18.01.2022 Another amazing hospitality designer who has undertaken some wonderful projects throughout Sydney. Roni owns a boutique interior design company called design4space which is situated in the beautiful and historical Balmain. Over the last 18 years she has been lucky to design high end residential, commercial, hospitality and retail projects. She recently won 2 international Emirate design awards for a residential waterfront property in Balmain and a hospitality project also in ...Balmain. She collaborates with the largest hospitality group in Australia (Rockpool Dining Group creating concept designs for Fratelli Famous and refreshes for some of their older restaurants) She has also been featured in numerous high end home magazines and has even been showcased on television. She is passionate about design and she has produced some very creative and innovative designs even if there has been a limited budget. See below some images of her projects. 18.01.2022 Grateful for the opportunities of constructing such amazing stores and offices in recent times. These photos were taken last year of the Village Property Real Estate office we did in Parramatta. Thank you to Studio 2D for trusting us to construct this office as per their design!
17.01.2022 Café Pacifica was completed in March 2019 and is based in the foyer of the American Express building at 12 Shelley Street, Sydney. The previous tenant of the site had been evicted and the whole space had been completely demolished. We had the responsibility of transforming the whole space into a brand-new Café! The fitout commenced just prior to Christmas 2018. During this time however the building changed owners which really threw some spanners into the works. On top of the ...fact that the original Café design was average at best and that the new building managers did not know or understand the workings of the building we had some serious challenges on this project! The final outcome was an incredibly stylish inner-city Café with beautiful timber veneer joinery, Caesarstone tops, custom made displays and black writable laminate panelling feature walls. The kitchen was tight for space but in the end we were able to do the best we could possibly do in the tight space we had to work with, and it was clean and professional. This was really a very testing project, but the final outcome looked amazing. I threw one before shot at the end just for some before and after perspective.

09.01.2022 We survived a crazy little period from November 2018 until April 2019 where we compressed 4 projects into a very tight timeline and over the Christmas period to top it all off! There will be some photos coming very shortly of the outcomes we achieved but in the meantime we are just enjoying getting our energy levels back up and our mojo back!! Here are some very average "before" shots of 2 of the sites. One is Lord of the Fries based in Newtown and the other is Cafe Pacifica at Barangaroo. I think you will find the "after" shots far more inspiring!
