24.01.2022 Some of the crazy stuff the local lads got to see with on tour with the crew from AC Promotions. This little bus was at the Good Guys show in Pleasanton. This guy was off the charts and so was his wild van! The guys are heading back for another tour in January. You would be crazy not to attend!

19.01.2022 Hey everyone, hope youve all been coping with the apocalypse and not going too insane. We got a request from a fan of the show, asking if we could do something to help celebrate her partners 49th birthday on Sunday. Her plan was to take him along to the show, but since thats not happening, we thought wed put the word out to anyone that might be cruising through Freo on Sunday to swing by 18 Wray Ave. Theyre just above the Doo Wop Hair Salon, so if youre chucking bog laps through Freo around lunch time, swing by, toot your horn. To get you in the spirit, heres an album of cool cruisin shots from a few years back.

19.01.2022 Well... if this was any other year, we'd be about halfway through the show set up, with the pavilions rapidly filling and people busily assembling their show displays and making the cars and bike look their absolute stunning best. But alas, we'll all have to wait until next years to do it all over again. Our banner cars we chose this year were Kevin "Rowdy" Mantach's '50 Chevy coupe and Peter Gardner's Model A pickup and they would have had pride of place on the show floor. 15.01.2022 Announcement: In light of todays announcement from the Australian Government advising against the gathering of more than 500 people as a response to coronavirus fears, WA Hot Rod Promotions has decided to postpone the 24th Hot Rod & Street Machine Spectacular scheduled for 13th-14th June. WAHRP had been in discussion prior to this announcement and did not come to this decision lightly. WAHRP is working with the Royal Agricultural Society on rescheduling the show to later in... the year and will try to announce details within the next week. WAHRP is terribly sad to postpone and extends an apology to all those entrants, traders and patrons who were already engaging in the event. As the provision for public safety is of prime concern, WAHRP will reschedule only once the current risk has been resolved. If you have already entered the show or booked trade space, we will be in contact soon. See more

08.01.2022 Vaughan Farmer has owned and built quite a colourful collection of hot rods and customs over the years. This 1937 Chevy Coupe Gasser was the last car he was working on before he left the South West and headed back home to New Zealand. Uncompleted at the time. it was a must that some images were captured before it left out shores a couple of years ago now.... 07.01.2022 Recently, a group of West Aussies travelled over to California for a tour with the locally-based, AC Promotions company. Local photographer, Jordan Leist, went along to document the trip. One of the first major sights to see was the Friday night cruise night at the world-famous Bobs Big Boy Burgers in Burbank.... Every Friday afternoon, car enthusiasts cruise in looking for prime spots at Bobs - it is the place to be for car guys and girls. People say, Its American Grafitti come to life. Weekly cars shows are a slice of Americana and you will never know who or what youre going to see. Brian Wilson, the genius behind the Beach Boys, showed up to take in the little deuce coupes he used to sing about. And Jay Leno, well hes more than just a regular. Some of the cars that arrive are from magazines and are built by some of the best shops on the planet. 04.01.2022 Who remembers this controversial car from a few years ago? It is stil the most awarded car in the state. Owner Joe De Faria is the first person to admit that his pristine Sigma was a love/hate thing for plenty of people back in the day. Some of the show organisers would often ask the judges Isnt there anything better than a Sigma here? But at the end of the event, the judges were just doing their job and my car, well, it was just better in all of the critical areas, s...aid Joe. Back at his home; kept securely, are over 90 trophies. At one stage, the car won Best Engine six years in a row, and more often than not, Joe drove the car home with the Best Overall trophy riding shotgun with him and a backseat full of silverware. The crazy thing, this was Joes daily car, yep, he drove it every day to work. Amazing. 03.01.2022 Who doesnt like a Barbados Green HQ Monaro? These things are as Australian as David Boon and practically the same shape too! Ron McMillan and Tania Dodd have entered their 1972 Monaro Coupe a few times at the show now and the car certainly drew a heap of admirers.... Australian rock music fans would appreciate the incredible airbrush work under the bonnet and boot lid. The car runs a warm 350 Chev backed by T400 and 9-inch rear.
