21.01.2022 WORKOUT WEDNESDAY Medicine ball or kettlebell burner 30 x Squat press... 30 x Russian twists 30 x Toe taps 30 x Around the world with squat 30 x Over head lunges 3 x Sets Sqaut press - hold the medicine ball in your hands at your chest, squat down and as you come back up press the ball up above your head. Russian twists- sitting in a V position with heals on the ground. Hold the medicine ball and twist taking the ball to the same side and then to the other side. Take it slow and engage the core the whole time. Toe taps- place bal on the ground and alternate tapping the ball one foot at a time. Do this nice and quick but with control. Around the world with squat- hold the medicine ball at your chest, take in around the back of your head for a full circle. Once you have done one, squat down, keeping you check up, looking forward. Over head lunges - hold the ball above your head, engaged through the core and lunge, make sure you knew stays behind your toes, pulse for 25 each side #hottemple #hotfitnesstemple #workoutwednesday

I best describe my class style as being a positive environment which is challenging and motivating! I really aim to build confidence around weight training and building strength ! Whats your fitness journey? Ive always loved fitness, its been something I couldnt live without, from basketball, to netball and now have found my passion in weight training and running ! I completed my personal training 6 years ago and have been lucky enough to recently become apart of the HT team! How do you keep fit ? If Im not training at hot temple I find myself running! 07.01.2022 Its goal setting day! Tomorrow kicks off our first week of ISO 2.0 so its time to set those goals! Why??... Setting goals gives you long-term vision and short-term motivation . It give you focuses and helps you to organise your time and your resources so that you can make the most of ISO instead of wishing the time away! We have 5 and 1/2 weeks left so lets make these goal specific and achievable! Its a good idea to set a goal for the entire ISO period as well as small goal each week! And it shouldnt just be about weight loss! 07.01.2022 Ive held back but its time to speak out. Please share and repost because we need to be heard. We really need to reclassify gyms and fitness centres as an esse...ntial service. Despite the incredible ignorance of the chief health officer, stating that gyms are a high risk setting and that they cause outbreaks. That is just not true. Data collected by Fitness Australia across over 500 gyms in NSW that have reopened since June, show that there have been over 7 million visits without a single recorded case of community transmission. Despite the ignorance of politicians and people that dont work out, going to the gym is so much more than physical fitness. It provides a coping mechanism for millions of Australians to keep their mental health in check, to keep depression and anxiety at bay. In many cases it is the single thread that holds so many peoples lives together. Exercise obviously keeps you healthy and boosts your immune system. There are so many reasons that make gyms safer, more hygienic and cleaner than the Victorian premier and his chief health officer could begin to understand. From the contact tracing issue, we are so far ahead of every other industry. Members swipe in with a fob that provides their name, phone number, photograph, address and date of birth. It tells us what time they enter the gym to the very minute. It also can trace every single person that is in the facility at any given time. When we go to the supermarket or bottle shop, there is no identification check, not even a sign in system. Compared to last time Victoria was able to have their businesses open, with restaurants shops etc. We were able to enter shops with no check in. Cafes and restaurants by signing in on a clipboard. A clipbord not sanitised, with the same pen that everybody else used without the offer of hand sanitiser to follow. When people enter our gyms they check-in and they have to sanitise their hands before they enter. Every machine or bench is 1.5m apart. Every second cardio machine is switched off and taped up so they cant be used to adhere with social distancing. We have hygiene stations everywhere, with disposable paper towel and hospital grade disinfectant. Members must wipe down every bench, handle, barbell and dumbbell after every single set. We have been in the sweat business for a long time, hand sanitiser in our gyms has been standard for 12 years, not 12 weeks. As an industry we have not been consulted, advised or considered. I hope that someone in government gets to read this and at least reach out for an open discussion. I am here for every gym owner, personal trainer and family business that has been decimated by this blatant and now targeted ignorance.
