23.01.2022 THE SOLO 1000 My name is Jess White and I'm the founder of The Solo 1000: A ride for rural mental health. Proudly supporting the Royal Flying Doctors Service. T...his is a solo 1188km bike journey from Robe SA to Wilcannia NSW through the gorgeous Victorian Mallee and Silo Art trail. I will be riding through and staying in Mildura during this ride and can not wait to visit! The ride will take place in April 2021, supporting of the RFDS Flying Doctor Wellbeing Program. A vital mental health program that I am sure you have heard of. I am very proud and honored to be able to fundraise for such a vital cause and one that is very close to my heart. I hope to raise $5000 for the RFDS as part of the ride, which I am doing by holding raffles and asking for donations. 21.01.2022 Webster calls for SA-NSW border deal for Regional Victoria. Federal Member for Mallee, Dr Anne Webster congratulated New South Wales on becoming the first state in Australia to implement the federal Government’s national ‘Agricultural Workers Code’ into its public health orders. The long-awaited Agricultural Workers Code came into effect at 12.01 Friday morning 25th September, and means farm workers from COVID free areas of Victoria can finally go to work in COVID free areas of NSW and vice versa, Dr Webster said. I have been told by farmers that the new permits are simple to obtain and are granted instantly once all of the correct information has been provided. This provides farmers and agricultural workers with much needed certainty.
