25.01.2022 Happy December, everyone! It's officially the month of Christmas and I'm pretty excited! I've had my Christmas lights up at home already for a few weeks . Let's face it, 2020 has been a bit of a write off, may as well bring in the cheer a little earlier than usual. The kids love when the lights come on of a night! We're all super excited to do our usual Christmas light drives, too. Some people put in a lot of effort to do up their houses and it's always nice to go and appreciate the effort they put in. If you're looking you get your headlights done before 2020 is over, I'd try to get in quick, because holidays (for me) start on the 18th of December.

25.01.2022 Here's a quick headlight and fog light transformation for your Friday afternoon. There's not a whole lot to look forward to on Fridays now that we're all in isolation. We won't be going out and doing anything amazing, but at least the kids will get to hang out with their Daddy. (We miss him through the week). How long do you all think these restrictions will be in place? It's heartbreaking knowing the babies can't hang out with their grandparents, cousins and friends.

25.01.2022 I haven't posted for a while as things have been very quiet of late. I've been worrying a bit about COVID19 and the impacts it might have on Australia. I'm hoping all the small business owners affected by this can pull through once this all blows over. We're all in this together. I'm super thankful there are still people out there willing to help the little guys. Yesterday, the family and I jumped into the car so I could mask up, run in and do a quick grocery shop for my mo...ther-in-law (soon to be in self-isolation due to travel) while Brent waited in the car with the kids. Someone spotted the sign on the back of the car and followed until he could grab my details. He had 2 cars at home that needed their headlights restored, so we booked in for the afternoon. These are the results from those 2 cars. I'm glad I can still adhere to the social distancing rules with my little business and I'm so thankful some of us are still able to keep getting unexpected jobs here and there given the current state of the economy. If you're in the position to be able to keep supporting small Australian businesses, I urge you to do so. It's hard enough trying to stay afloat without extra pressure being put on by unexpected events. A lot of small businesses owners are struggling to keep food on the table already. Let's do our part and keep small businesses up and running (if possible). I want to send a personal thank you out there to anyone who is still supporting the little guy in business. We appreciate every single job we get and/or every sale we make! Ps. I was the recipient of some RAOKs (random act of kindness) from this customer, so I want to say a big thank you if you're reading this. I really appreciate your support!

24.01.2022 This morning's single headlight restoration.

23.01.2022 Just a quick Sunday transformation. We went to a friend's place this afternoon. They're planning on selling this car soon but one of the headlights were looking a little sad (the other side had been replaced)... I had my gear on board so I decided to clean it up between beers because, why not? Hope everyone's had a great weekend!

21.01.2022 If I'm not forgetting to take photos, I'm forgetting to upload them! So here's some I took last week..... and I'm only just remembering to post them now.

19.01.2022 Here's a few pics of this morning's Volvo! Another happy customer.

19.01.2022 Here's some cars from this week.

18.01.2022 This morning's Mazda transformation. I hope everyone has an awesome weekend!

17.01.2022 Here's a reminder, we also restore fog lights and spotties (if they're the same material as the headlight) This Landcruiser had 1 new headlight so I restored the other one... now they look schmick Don't forget we're off on the 18th! So book in quick if you're hoping to book in before 2021!

15.01.2022 Today's lights had previously been restored by another person (who didn't do this as their main income but had apparently done a few) but the owner wasn't overly happy with the finished product. I didn't see what they looked like previous to that but these lights had severe crazing, especially in the passenger side. Crazing is where the damage is so deep, it can't be removed. You'll see small, hair-line cracks that show more when the headlights are turned on. Almost looks as ...if it's shattered. It looked to me as if the previous restorer had used a DIY kit that doesn't require sanding (which I don't believe are worth it). These lights were so severely damaged that they'll never go back to looking brand new, but I did give it a good crack and gave the customer a discount for his troubles. If I'm not happy with the end result, I don't feel happy charging full price. It's not often a job defeats me, but I'm happy to admit that I do get them here and there. Crazing isn't my favourite thing in the world, that's for sure See more

08.01.2022 Today's quick Rav4 job. It's been a warm one after all the rainy days we've had recently! #headlightrestoration

06.01.2022 I forgot to share yesterday's Commodore job, so here it is. Don't carry cash and don't have time to do bank transfer? No worries. I've got the square app and can process manual credit card payments with a 2.2% surcharge. If there's enough demand, I'll buy a square reader (1.9% surcharge). What are your thoughts? Worth the surcharge for your convenience? Let me know in the comments below.
