25.01.2022 What To Do If You Encounter A Snake !!! Good afternoon everyone, just video here on what you guys should do if you encounter a snake. 1 - Stand absolutely stil...l. Snakes are very movement oriented. If you move around, the snake will perceive you as a threat or a potential predator. So they will defend themselves. 2 - If the snake is a safe distance away, back away slowly. Snakes do not chase people. If you walk away and leave the snake alone, it will move on in its own time. 3 - If you encounter a snake in or around your home. Try to keep an eye on it from a safe distance and call a qualified and licenced snake catcher such as ourselves. The vast majority of snake bites occur when people try to catch or kill the snake. What To Do If You Get Bitten By A Snake !!! 1 - Call 000 immediately!!!! 2 - Apply a pressure bandage to the entire limb. Circle the bite site if possible. DO NOT cut of blood supply to the limb 3 - Sit or lay down, and keep the patient calm. Snake Venom travels through the body’s lymphatic system. So it’s important to apply the bandage firmly but not tight enough that it cuts off circulation to the limb. As always, we are available 24/7, 365 days a year for all your reptile related needs. 0435 094 992 ~ Brandon

20.01.2022 Australia day 2020. We came here as migrants 11 years ago and with so much hard work, commitment and sacrifice we have been given so many fantastic opportunities. We celebrate all the things we love about Australia: land, sense of fair go, lifestyle, democracy, the freedoms we enjoy but particularly our people. Australia Day is about acknowledging and celebrating the contribution that every Australian makes to our contemporary and dynamic nation. From our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people - who have been here for more than 65,000 years - to those who have lived here for generations, to those who have come from all corners of the globe to call our country home. Thank you Australia. #australia #australiaday2020 #indiginousaustralia #livingthedream #landofopportunity #albury #nourielpark #family

08.01.2022 Unfortunately, even a global pandemic doesnt stop people from suffering cardiac arrest. Providing CPR is a lifesaving skill, follow these tips if you come across someone is in need during this pandemic. Wash your hands If you can, wear a mask and gloves Look for signs of breathing, dont listen near their mouth ... Give chest compressions only, not rescue breaths Keep bystanders 1.5 metres away #pandemic #covid_19 #cpr #lifesaving #protectyourself #defibrillator #chestcompression

07.01.2022 In Flanders fields the poppiesblow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below.... We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields. Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields. #remember #remembranceday #soldier #wewillrememberthem #lestweforget #poppyappeal #airborne

03.01.2022 The Pain of an EpiPen Back in 2015 a study titled "Lacerations and Embedded Needles Caused by Epinephrine Autoinjector Use in Children" was released in the Anna...ls of Emergency Medicine, an International Journal. The study looked at complications of epinephrine autoinjector use in children and discuss features of these devices, and their instructions for use, and how these may contribute to injuries. It was concluded that the Epinephrine autoinjectors are lifesaving devices in the management of anaphylaxis. However, some have caused lacerations and other injuries in children. It was suggested that minimizing needle injection time, improving device design, and providing instructions to immobilise the leg before use may decrease the risk of these injuries. In 2017, the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) provided permission to make the changes in Australia, and so we saw the reduced injection time change from 10 to 3 seconds.
