25.01.2022 Let’s talk about weight for a second. I know you’ve probably heard it before but I’m gonna tell you again, because it’s important. WEIGHT MEANS NOTHING. For a couple of reasons. ... 1. If you are happy, healthy and thriving a number on a scale should not impact your self worth or determine your progress. 2. A scale can only give you a numerical reflection of your relationship to gravity. Nothing else. 3. When you are fit there is a high change you will weigh more than when you were ‘skinny’ 4. You will most likely (from my experience) never really be happy when you get to your ‘goal weight’. I have been there. Years ago I was weighing myself almost everyday to see if the scale had gone down. I barely ate, trained twice a day. Then when I actually got to the weight I wanted I still pointed out all the things that was ‘wrong’ with my body. I looked the same, I didn’t have a 6-pack or ripped legs and arms. I was just took up less space in the world. It devalued the process and it made me a hypocrite. I spend all day teaching women about loving their bodies and getting their minds and bodies healthy and I was doing the opposite. I was tearing myself down internally. So things had to change. I stopped weighing myself and started focusing on my physical performance. Being about to squat heavier or doing more chin ups. Trying to be the best and fittest version of me. Without sounding predictable, felt way better than weighing less than jockey . Oh and I also starting eating like a normal human being. Food that actually makes me feel good and taste good. Because life is too short for shitty food and self deprecation. If you’ve made it this far. I love you. And remember. A scale cannot measure your worth, strength, purpose, talent or undeniable good looks.

22.01.2022 I’M BACK 10 weeks ago I broke my back. In a very insignificant, silly way (not wearing a seatbelt while mustering). And I have to say I wouldn’t recommend it. Recovery has been a bi*ch and it still is. It has taken a while to get over it and stop feeling sorry for myself. Not being able to exercise and being in pain all of the time really taken it’s toll on my mental and physical health. I have a new found gratitude for exercise and the ability to move without pain. Anyway. I’m back, slow and steady and I definitely can’t do what I used to and that’s ok. It could have been much much worse. I just wanted to say a massive thank you to all my clients that have been amazing during my recovery and healing.

19.01.2022 You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the whole world, and there is still going to be someone that doesn’t like peaches! - Dita Von Teese I have always loved this quote because it is so true. I’ve spent a lot of my time trying to be other people’s version of perfection. Eg. the perfect personal trainer that didn’t drink alcohol or eat anything remotely unhealthy. Then I realised I was living my life depending on what other people think of me. Which isn’t at all the person ...I wanted to be. Yes I want to set a good example for my clients but not an unrealistic and judgmental one. Living by other people’s expectations of you will never fulfil you. You have to do what makes you truely happy and fills your soul with fire not worry, which I’m prone too. So do what you actually want to do! Don’t waste your time on this earth living a half life! And considering the state of the world right now don’t waste your time not being true to yourself. P.S these shorts are a @tigressactivewear sample so the paw print is in the centre of the pocket on the actual shorts. 18.01.2022 Lemon & Raspberry Loaf Cake I find it so hard to bake vegan treats that actually taste good and don’t require something crazy like Amazon tree bark only found in the depths of the jungle. Before anyone questions the Vegan aspect it is because of the egg intolerance I have This one is a cracker! The recipe will be up on the @tigressactivewear blog tomorrow. 14.01.2022 I’ve missed this! It’s nearly 12 weeks since the break and I’m starting to feel confident to start training how I used to (within reason). So today was the warm up, and it killed me! It really is like starting from the beginning again. My legs are jelly and I feel sick and it wasn’t even that hard. Wish me luck!

14.01.2022 I’ll take dedication over motivation everyday of the week. Don’t get me wrong motivation is awesome but it’s fleeting and unreliable. Dedication is a whole different beast! Dedication is what gets me out of bed at 5am in the middle of winter when I would rather sleep in. It’s working out when I don’t feel like it because I know it will make me feel better. It’s cooking healthy meals when I’m exhausted and would rather order pizza (sometimes I do that anyway). It’s stepping out of my comfort zone to develop new things and start new business. I’m dedicated to growing. Physically, emotionally, mentally. P.S this is how excited I am about releasing my new ebook very very soon!
