17.01.2022 Hooray The Hou Wang Temple and Old Post Office Gallery are once again open and the volunteers are waiting on your visit! The Gallery has a brand new exhibition "In the Zone". Artist Jan Sargeant will be in the gallery on Saturdays for the duration of her exhibition.... Our Temple Museum has been completely restored by the Temple Volunteers with help from Queensland Museum. And our fabulous Hou Wang Temple has been patiently waiting until she can once again have visitors. Gallery, Museum and Temple all open 10am to 2pm Tuesday to Saturday, with guided tours of the Temple running throughout the day. Last guided tour generally leaves around 1pm. See you soon! It is a fascinating insight into life when the Temple was part of a thriving community. Have a read, it's quite long but very, very interesting - the memoirs of a lady who lived close to the Temple and Chinatown as a child in the early 1900s.
