22.01.2022 The lovely Houghton Homestead...the stables were located in the building to the left, the original "croft" style homestead is the building to the right, both are connected by a glass panelled corridor. The original domestic water source was from the well that can be seen in the centre of the picture...

Under wine show conditions a panel of expert judges will judge the best Verdelho and YOU are invited to assess the wines against the same dishes in a more casual sense. Your votes for the best Verdelho will decide the winner of the "People Choice Award"... 04.01.2022 This beautiful old pear tree was planted behind the original Houghton homestead just after it's construction in 1869. It is the second oldest non-native tree planted on the grounds of Houghton and is listed with the National Trust and she welcomes Spring 2013 with a tiny white blossom.
