03.01.2022 Very sad, myself and the family were enjoying a lovely morning in Ettalong until I noticed this poor animal with a fishing line hanging out of his beak. I called wildlife emergency no on the central coast (www.wildlife-arc.org.au/wildlifeemergencies.com), Tel 043250666 and they called someone out. As I suspected the bird would not make it as the X-ray shows, he would have died of hunger poor thing. If you see animals in distress no matter how helpless you may feel, your smart phone is the best tool you have. Go online, it takes two seconds and notify someone who can help. There may not be a miracle but at least you can help minimise the suffering caused by someone else.
