He was initially a little reserved and shy meeting other dogs but mum Tracee took her time and made sure Eddie wasn't overwhelmed by the other puppies - low and behold by week four he was happy to join in the 'meet & greet' with a spring in his step. 03.01.2022 Dogs Tied Up - Educational post A dog(s) tied up waiting for an owner or even in this simple setting of relaxing at at cafe. For those who walk passed dogs in... this situation you should keep your dogs moving along with you. This shouldnt be a time to approach with your leashed dog. When a dog is tethered he doesnt have anywhere to go if he wants to avoid a situation, blocking his ability to flight if he wants to get away. Dogs trapped on a lead is a very common cause for reactivity. Also take into account the relaxed dogs and having dogs coming up causing those dogs to stand and do the meeting. Your dog might be friendly but they other dogs may not be, your dog might be laid back the other dog could be young and exuberant. This list goes on. So moving forward, give this situation space, two calm lovely dogs enjoying the sunshine
