Today is the Trans Day of Visibility, and to quote from SHINE SA "This event is an international celebration of trans pride and awareness, recognising trans and gender diverse experiences and achievements". I am just an ally; I can't begin to imagine the hardship. I am also continuing to learn more, like many others. I truly hope discussions and awareness like this translates into a more accepting and lo...ving world. No matter your interests, if you're reading this, please know that the store and I see you and that we love you for who you are. I hope that didn't sound too corporate. I’m doing a bit more research at the moment regarding LGBTQIA+ charity groups to make a personal donation. Never feel pressured to donate though, sometimes businesses use it as a tax right off so always seek more info! Black Rainbow Australia is definitely one of my favourite groups though! Please check them out. One of my good friends works at the SHINE SA Clinic. It's incredibly helpful for those in the Adelaide/SA area! They deal with LGBTIQA+ services, sexual health counselling, and they have a sexual healthline as well if you need help over the phone. You can find them at shinesa.org.au.
