24.01.2022 Wedding season is just around the corner and I couldn’t be more excited! It’s fair to say that covid took the wind out of our sails and for a time there it was hard to see when we would ever have a Wedding again. But with the Wedding season almost here (all be it a little different season to that of the past) it feels like things are almost back to normal and my team and I can't wait to get back to our first love- Weddings! This picture of the beautiful Danielle is one of my ...most favourite. Although it was a very quick snap on my phone, there is so much joy in this pic and I love it! Danielle and her husband Andrew were living halfway around the world and together we planned everything via email and only met in person 2 days before the Wedding. This was the moment when Danielle stepped into her reception and had her first glimpse of the party and that smile says it all! Although we absolutely love planning, styling and coordinating Weddings, our main aim and goal with all our clients is to take the pressure and stress away so they can relax and enjoy what’s most important- GETTING MARRIED! 23.01.2022 The van is getting packed, the sun is shining and it’s a great day, because it’s our first Wedding back after covid and we couldn’t be more excited!!!!

22.01.2022 Today we set a very 4th Birthday Party for a very special little girl- our niece Audrey! Having an Event Manager as an aunt has it's perks and when looking through my storeroom Audrey spotted pink heart plates and from there decided on a 'pink sparkly tea party' as her theme for the celebration. When taking a few snaps of the kids having fun today, Audrey turned around and gave me the biggest smile, which says it all. Turning 4 is the absolute best and I was so excited to ...be part of the sparkly festivities! 17.01.2022 This weekend we joined forces with Gay Flowers for our first ‘Flowers with friends’ private floral workshop. It was a fun afternoon and under the instruction of Alex from Gay Flowers, our lovely group of ladies learnt all about the origins of their flowers and how to care for them, before learning the art of putting together a beautiful bouquet to take and enjoy at home. After class our ladies had time to sit back and relax and have a chat, while surrounded by flowers in the... beautiful space at Gay Flowers Sandy Bay. 14.01.2022 Last weekend we managed a very special party at Alceme (Events at Alceme) where 6 milestone birthdays were celebrated. The family milestone extravaganza party celebrated an 80th, 60th , 50th , 2 x 30th’s and an 18th! With black and white features and lots of candlelight, these simple touches added to an already spectacular venue. 12.01.2022 Last night we welcomed a lovely group into Alceme (Events at Alceme) for a private dining experience. This week we changed the colour pallet and created a black and white dining look. Our black and white table features surrounded a beautiful Orchid from Gay Flowers, which sat in a bed of pearls. The table candles and pendant lighting created a beautiful glow and helped to create another unique private experience in the stunning venue which is Alceme!

11.01.2022 What a lovely way to come back from our Christmas break! Today we created an Arty Party to celebrate the Maisie's 7th Birthday at the Howrah Community Centre. The party guests got a busy being arty and created a vinyl letter stencils, before filling their canvas with the beautiful colour they mixed on their pallets. They then removed the vinyl to reveal the blank canvas underneath and their letters reappeared. From there is was time for glue and LOTS of glitter, as they cr...eated their felt art with baubles, wooden letters and shapes and as I said lots and lots of glitter!!! It was a wonderful party and so much fun seeing all the kids being so creative and seeing what they came up with! Thanks so much Alex and Kieran for having us as party of Maisie's special day!

09.01.2022 Well we made it to the the end of the craziest year EVER!!! If someone had told me this time last year what was to come, I couldn't have imagine what would lie ahead. From a calendar full of Weddings and events one minute, the next minute we had multiple postponements and sadly some event cancellations on our hands. It really was a year of ups and downs. But we worked through it all and the time off gave me a moment to stop, reassess a...nd rediscover my love for my business and for what I do. I am so excited to get back to work in 2021! Thank you to all my beautiful clients, those who have had their events and those who are still waiting for their special days. Your trust in me means so much and I thank you all for letting me be part of your events. Thank you to all my team who make living my dream possible, I couldn't do what I do without you all! 06.01.2022 WE'RE BACK!!! This weekend we worked on our first Wedding post covid and it was wonderful to be back in the Wedding game again! What seems like a life time ago, we had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Bec and Rhys and started planning their Wedding day at Alceme Hobart. But then our old friend covid hit and at the last minute the Wedding was put on hold, while we kept our fingers crossed that things would get back to semi normal one day soon and the celebration could retu...rn. We were thrilled that after our months of waiting, the day finally arrived yesterday and it was well and truly worth the wait. Rhys and Bec's Wedding ceremony by Lorna Long - Civil Celebrant lead straight into the reception -with a quick few changes to the room while the congratulations were taking place! As Alceme Hobart is such a spectacular space, our decorative elements were minimal, but featured front and centre was our Tassie Oak arch with a beautiful floral arrangement by Gay Flowers. With our rattan seating, bar tables as well as pine tables and white seating, the room was the perfect setting for the Wedding celebrations. Thank you so much beautiful Bec and Rhys for choosing House of A Event Management to be part of your day. We have loved working with you for all these months and we wish you and your little family all the very best xxx
