16.01.2022 A recent install

16.01.2022 I don’t know about you but I can barely believe it’s Christmas Eve What a crazy year it’s been, not just for us here in Australia but for everyone across the world. I’ve especially missed my family in the UK this year. Our plans to travel this Christmas took a last minute change this week, as many of yours did too. This year has really taught me the true art of being grateful for what I have right in front of me. It’s been a year of surrender. A year of many firsts, of grea...t opportunity and a year of new friendships. I am so incredibly grateful for everyone of you who has cheered me on, followed me and shared my business with friends & family. I absolutely love what I do and I simply couldn’t do it without your support I am so grateful for each of my clients who put their trust in me and allow me the creative freedom to make their spaces more functional & beautiful. Wherever you may be, I wish you a very Merry Christmas. If you are alone or if this time of year is difficult, I am sending you all my love. Stay safe my loves, see you all in the new year ~ Lis photo by @maddisonphotog #workingmum #mumofboys #merrychristmas #christmas2020 #interiordesign #interiorstyling #custommade #handmade #regionallymade #buyfromthebush #curatins #ottomans #glossylamps #bedheads #design #floorplans #countryhomes #cityhomes #makingyourhomebeautiful #heirloompiece #lovemyjob See more

15.01.2022 How gorgeous are these pistachio green steel doors out to the courtyard by the very clever @clarenceandgraves. A beautiful, uncontrived, light filled space. #interiorinspo #newenglandinteriors #steeldoors #kitchendesign #lightfilledkitchen

13.01.2022 It was such a pleasure designing this room for my littlest client to date. He was so excited when I came to do the install. He was especially excited about his custom made lamp which started its life as a brown vintage base. When I sourced it a while ago I knew it would be perfect for someone one day. I rewired and glossed the base in jalapeño red gloss paint, then finished it off with a beautiful block printed paper lamp shade. The brown and red stripes work so beautifully against the ‘Amulet’ paint by @porterspaints which is washable and low voc so a perfect choice for kids rooms and a healthy home . The fabrics were sourced from samples I collected in the UK earlier this year. I’m so glad he loves it just as much as me and his parents do thank you for the beautiful snap of his room @annabellehickson

11.01.2022 WORKSHOP ~ The Gather Around Event hosted by the wonderful Tina of @myruralretreat isn’t far away now (Sunday 30th August - only 6 tickets left!!) I am so excited that I’ll be giving a talk about how to make your home reflect who you are! Working out your style and how you want to decorate your home is not an easy task, you are bombarded with images of show homes and told what the perfect house should look like, you are given the top ten must do trends or decorating tips an...d they seem to constantly change .... I want to change the narrative. I don’t believe in trends and I also stay away from themes when it comes to designing rooms and creating homes. When consulting with clients I often start with why they love their home, we talk about what doesn’t currently work for you, I dig into what your lifestyle is and what you like to do to relax. I get to know you. I often see things that you cannot see, for example I see how beautiful your windows are, I start to image how that light might look more beautiful if it was filtered through a sheer linen curtain, or I imagine how a different layout would suit your family better and make you feel more connected to the other zones in your home. I notice family photos and look for items that can be curated so they are showcased. For me your home must be functional, comfortable and above all beautiful. I want your home to invoke memories that make you feel rejuvenated and relaxed. I want items that invoke memory to be showcased to remind you of a loved one or a special trip you took. Objects, colour, light and physical space can have a very real affect on your senses and as we are all unique, there is no one size/style that fits all. I will be diving into this topic with all of our guests at this event so be sure to grab a ticket if you think this is something you’d like help with! This beautiful kitchen was designed by @beataheuman and for me it recalls my English heritage. It’s an image that invokes memory, the scolloped marble detail is just so pretty and the brass door knobs, rod, lights & tap really brings everything together. I really do love kitchens to be so much more than just cupboards and stone bench tops See more
