Just as the shadow is coming out in the world at large, so too are the shadow...y differences between human beings rising to the surface. So there are people you quite like who suddenly have an opinion that you have judged or deemed as bad. But you must remember as you are villainizing another person, they themselves do not feel like a villain. There are very few on the planet who celebrate darkness - they exist - but there are very few of them. Most are aligning with their own perception of light and dark, and they have their own reasons for doing it. So this is why we always say, "Do not fight. Bring the light. Do not fight. Bring the light. Now, you can be at a protest bringing the light, that is not necessarily a fight. If you are bringing the light at a protest, you are saying, I do not stand for this. In fact, I am casting my vote for something very different. But when you get caught in fight energy with others, with yourself, or with the world at large, you get caught in what we would call the 3-D matrix - the third dimensional drama net - that all of you listening to this are either fully out of or making your way out of - and that is vital. 01.01.2022 Rescuing people is a learned behavior. There is nothing wrong with doing it, as long as you know when to stop and draw boundaries to protect yourself. If you gi...ve and give without giving to yourself, you will ALWAYS feel burnt out. And when you’re so busy rescuing everyone else, you’re training the people around you to not take care of you. What helped me get control of my need to always rescue my kids was the research backed idea that you make their anxiety WORSE when you rescue them. You’re rescuing sends this message to your kids: You’re not strong enough to face this on your own. In other words, your need to rescue your kids is about YOUR anxiety, not theirs. It’s making the situation worse for your kids. The better route is to empower the people in your life to face their issues and fears head on. The people in your life can probably handle most of their issues on their own with a little encouragement from you. You don’t need to swoop in every time something goes wrong for your kid. You don’t have to fix every problem your partner faces. You can be supportive. You can offer a shoulder to lean on. You can ask lots of leading questions so they can figure out the answer to their problems on their own. But if you keep taking care of everyone else, how will they possibly learn to take care of themselves? Bookmark this and tell me in the comments what you’re learning from this post.
