21.01.2022 Basically everything at House of Figs is antique, vintage or repurposed. I love that every little piece has a it’s own history and story. This mirror is definitely one of my favourites which I purchased at a second hand store while out of town. It was attached to a dresser which definitely wasn’t going to fit in my car. I just had to have it, so I asked if I could buy the piece but only take the mirror. The shop attendant was a little baffled but couldn’t see an issue. I felt a little guilty separating it from its partner but it was so worth it, it found a perfect new home. I wonder what happened to the dresser and if it ever got paired back up with another lonely mirror .

However guests often say that our place feels so homely and somewhere they want to cook. So whatever takes your fancy we have you covered- boards with cheese knives or anything and everything else you’ll need to cook a delicious meal. 06.01.2022 I often get asked what colour black we used on our fire place feature wall and in our bathroom so I thought I’d do a post on it. If you want a black that’s not too blue and not too black then this might be just what you’re after. We use Haymes paint from our local paint shop as we love the quality. We selected the Dulux colour Domino however I had it altered a few times adding more black + B. 54. See the last photo for information on our paint tin. You’re welcome @ Yarrawonga, Victoria

We had planned to take the girls away on Gracie’s first adventure in our caravan but hey -I’m still looking forward to all these things just at home with my family.
