19.01.2022 Reaping the benefits What a great 2nd session of our second round of Qi Gong for the year. Last nights session the group were introduced to new flows to energ...ise the three power centres of the body; known as the Jing, Qi and Shen. The swimming dragon sequences have become a new happy place for us on the floor. New breathing techniques to build energy in the body were also introduced, these being the Turtle, and Water Buffalo breathing, stretching the polarities of yin and yang to create more energy in the body. Ending with water like flows of Opening up to the six directions, swimming dragon and Tigeress gathers its cubs. Leaving the body, heart and mind relaxed and at ease. Both new and old practitioners are finding great benefit from this ancient practice with just some of the feedback being: Feeling relaxed but energised More space and ease in the body very quickly Mind becomes more neutral, steady and present. Joy with movement Better sleep Stress starts to melt away. Doing jobs you would normally avoid become easier. Feeling powerful. Loving the supportive group of fellow adventurers all on an adventure to understanding the greater depth of themselves. How does it get any better than that? 18.01.2022 In our vulnerability lays our strength Today I am dedicating my practice to my mother who turned 84 years old this week. A woman who’s nature has always been ...one of movement and with time has learnt the art and grace of finding peace with restricted movement in the evening of her life. It’s also for those of us who have lost the ability to move more freely. Today I move for you as an extension of that part still there in mind and soul. These movements strengthen the body, heart and mind energy centres in the body, known as the Jing, Qi and Shen; clearing the mind and heart and building energy in the body. Embrace the Tiger return to the mountain is the closing flow sequence. Reminding us to embrace courage and strength and returning to the place of peace and stability. There is great power in transmission and intention. I hope if you get to watch and listen to this short dedication, it will bring you some ease and appreciation for the life you have and continue to live. 16.01.2022 I’m feeling heavily relaxed...and it’s great was the comment of the evening. What a great 3rd session for this round of QI Gong practice this evening. With p...racticing the simple yet powerful Microcosmic Orbit to generate energy in the body, clarity in the mind and balancing emotions, the group were able to shift the heavy energy many of us felt over the past week into a whole new gear. Lighter in mind, heart and body we continued to activate key Acupressure points in the lower body to release blockages to strengthen the body and major organs. Everyone felt light on their feet and clear having the heaviness in the body melt away. Feeling aligned. How does it get any better than that? I look super tall in this pic... maybe I need to do more with these acupressure points lol! Looking forward to next Wednesday to continue our journey with our practice.
